ACCOUNT MANAGER

Buddy's Home Furnishings is a lease‑ownership company that offers a range of high‑quality home products on a lease‑to‑own basis. We have 300 stores across the country and are seeking an Account Representative to manage customer accounts and support sales and collections.

Principal Responsibilities

Manage customer accounts and satisfy company collection and revenue standards.

Perform inside sales and outside collections.

Maintain showroom appearance.

Take primary role in delivery and pick up of merchandise.

Assist with managerial duties as assigned by the General Manager.

Demonstrate effective communication and reasoning skills; show management potential.

Acquire and maintain customers for basic furniture, appliances, and home electronics.

Handle installation and removal of home electronics.

Comply with company vehicle safety standards and required documentation.

Manage credit/customer relationships and customer payments using the VersiRent computer program.

Fill out receipt books and make journal entries.

Handle inbound/outbound service calls.

Make deliveries or collect merchandise; support sales and merchandising activities.

Carry out all other duties deemed necessary by store management.

Requirements for Account Representative

Excellent telephone skills.

Intermediate math skills.

Maintain professional appearance.

Must be able to drive during day, night, and meet all safety requirements.

Explain terms of rental/lease agreement to customers.

Read, write, and communicate effectively in person and over the telephone.

Work overtime when required.

Proficient in product features and benefits; work on showroom floor.

Have proficient navigational skills with a satisfactory driving record and meet insurability requirements.

Maintain regular and consistent attendance, including nights and weekends as business dictates.

General Physical Requirements

Lifting, loading, moving, and using a dolly for merchandise weighing 50–300 pounds.

Stooping, bending, pulling, climbing, reaching, and grabbing as required.

Traverse multiple flights of stairs while carrying furniture, appliances, and electronics.

Prolonged driving and standing.

Work indoors and outdoors in a variety of climates and weather conditions.
