Lead Videography
Serve as lead videographer / director of photographer (DP) for in-house studio projects and assigned offsite filmings, helping shape compelling visual stories that support the mission and initiatives of e3 and IAS.
In partnership with the Director of Media, conceptualize, shoot and edit high-quality in-studio and organic on-location content, included but not limited to: podcasts, social media, campaigns, digital platforms (short- and long-form), internal videos, events, documentary-style content, etc.
Collaborate closely with Media, Creative, Marketing and Communications teams to align productions with ministry strategy and translate creative briefs into clear pre/pro/post plans.
Operate professional production equipment, including cameras, lenses, lighting, audio, stabilization systems, monitors, hard drives, and related gear; troubleshoot technical challenges on set as needed.
Handle multi-camera shoots while directing talent when needed, and ensuring strong framing, lighting, audio and cinematic storytelling quality across deliverables.
Ensure digital files, footage and hard drives are properly organized and delivered to supportive editors and team members.
Foster a collaborative, creative and excellence-driven production culture on set and within the media team.
Help maintain organized production spaces, workflows and equipment that support creative excellence and efficiency.
In collaboration with the Production Coordinator, coordinate crew needs, equipment requirements and logistics for shoots.
Organize, steward and maintain media equipment including cameras, lighting, audio gear, hard drives and production accessories; assist with inventory tracking, troubleshooting, equipment checkout/in, repairs and upgrade recommendations.
Recommend improvements to studio workflows, production processes, equipment and setup to elevate storytelling quality and team efficiency.
Stay current on video trends, social media strategies, emerging production techniques and industry best practices.
Bonus: Capture on-set still photography when needed to complement video content.
Lead Editing
Serve as a lead creative editor for in-house media projects that are assigned, helping shape compelling stories that align with the mission, voice and visual standards of e3 and IAS initiatives. Provide feedback throughout the post-production process while maintaining excellence across all deliverables.
Strong understanding of social media storytelling, trends and platform best practices, with the ability to create and optimize engaging content for YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, paid ads and emerging digital platforms.
Adapt video content for multiple formats and aspect ratios (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, paid ads, web, etc.). Applying color correction, sound design, motion graphics, platform-specific optimization, etc., while incorporating leadership feedback and following the brand consistencies and standards.
Ensure deadlines are met and maintain schedules and targets.
Help integrate graphics and technical specs for video projects, when needed.
Provide video content feedback to other team members on assigned projects.
Ministry

Requirements
Required Qualifications and Preferred Skills
Must share a digital portfolio and/or samples of past work in order to be interviewed.
To be considered, you may be asked to complete a filming test at our in-house studio during the interview process.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Film, Media Production, Journalism, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
5-7+ years of professional experience in video production, filmmaking or studio operations (mid-level candidates with strong experience will be considered).
Demonstrated experience managing or owning studio workflows and equipment.
Strong hands-on experience with professional camera systems, lighting and grip and audio capture for interviews and productions.
Solid understanding of media workflows, video production workflows (pre, production & post) brand consistency, and best practices across web, interactive and social media channels.
Proficiency with industry-standard software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Frame.io, etc.). Bonus in DaVinci Resolve & After Effects.
Comfortable working in a Mac environment with advanced knowledge of media-related software and tools.
Photography experience is a plus.
Excellent organizational and project management skills.
Detail oriented with ability to juggle multiple projects, address priorities and needs and meet deadlines simultaneously.
Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset with other team members is a must.
Bonus if you have Drone experience and FAA Part 107 certification (or willingness to obtain).
Bonus if you have experience in faith-based, nonprofit or mission-driven organizations.

Hybrid role where you can work from home on Thursdays if there is not a shoot.

Required Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Film, Media Production, Journalism, Digital Media or a related field
5-7+ years of professional experience in video editing, media asset management, or a related digital media role.
Proven experience with industry-standard managing or owning studio workflows and equipment; filming video content; and editing (Adobe Creative Suite, etc.).
Solid understanding of media workflows, video production workflows (pre, production & post) brand consistency, and best practices across web, interactive and social media channels.
Strong hands-on experience with professional camera systems, lighting and grip and audio capture for interviews and productions.
Experience coordinating projects with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
Demonstrated success managing multiple projects under tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
Job Scope & Decision Making
Performs duties with minimal direction, operating from established directions and instructions. Decisions are made within general ministry policies and procedures but occasionally require independent decision making.
Work schedule of 40 hours per week, typically Monday - Friday with occasional hours for events and travel. Hybrid role where you can work from home on Thursdays.
