Position: Senior Newsroom Writer and Reporter – Cybersecurity / Identity Management Space
Duration: 9+ months with potential to extend and convert to FTE
Location: Remote – Must be currently living in the USA.
Pay Rate: $60/hr on W2 (No C2C, 1099, TN visa, F1 (CPT or OPT) at this time)

Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Senior Newsroom Writer and Reporter with experience in producing high-quality, engaging content on technology topics, with a focus on cybersecurity, identity management, and SaaS. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technology journalism, capable of translating complex technical concepts into accessible narratives for a diverse audience.
Key Responsibilities: Develop in-depth articles, news reports, and feature stories on technology topics, particularly cybersecurity, identity management, and SaaS.
Conduct thorough research to uncover compelling angles, analyze industry trends, and provide insightful commentary on technological developments.
Build and maintain relationships with industry experts, executives, and other key stakeholders to source information and perspectives.
Collaborate with the multimedia team to produce accompanying videos, podcasts, or interactive content that enhance storytelling.
Work closely with editors and fellow reporters to brainstorm story ideas, review content, and ensure alignment with editorial standards.
Monitor audience feedback and analytics to refine content strategies and increase reader engagement.
Qualifications: Experience: Minimum of 5 years in technology journalism, with a portfolio demonstrating expertise in cybersecurity, identity management, or SaaS reporting.
Strong understanding of the technology landscape, including current trends and challenges in cybersecurity and SaaS.
Exceptional ability to distill complex technical information into clear, engaging narratives suitable for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Proven track record of conducting comprehensive research and producing original reporting.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment, contributing to collective goals while managing individual responsibilities.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Computer Science, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications: Industry Recognition: Experience writing for reputable technology publications or platforms.
Multimedia Skills: Familiarity with multimedia content creation, including video production and editing.
Analytical Tools: Experience with content analytics platforms and SEO best practices.
