The Port Arthur facility includes two Steam Methane Reformers (SMRs) with integrated gas turbine generators, as well as CO₂ capture systems at both SMRs, supporting enhanced oil recovery.The site is connected to an existing hydrogen pipeline system that spans from New Orleans to the Houston Ship Channel, supplying hydrogen to an integrated network serving customers across the Gulf Coast.As an operator, you are responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting equipment within the facility. Check out some of our benefits below!Affordable medical, dental, and vision insurance available day one of employment401(k) retirement savings plan with immediate vesting of company match and core contributionsPaid vacation, holidays, and sick timePaid parental leaveAdoption assistanceFlexible Spending Accounts (medical, dependent daycare)Health Savings AccountLife Insurance (AD&D), Supplemental AD&DEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Responsibilities:Participate in core safety processes as an active member of the Site Safety Committee, sharing responsibility for overall site safety performanceSupport day-to-day plant operations to meet on-stream, production, and reliability targetsInvestigate equipment failures, determine root causes, and recommend solutions to prevent recurrence or eliminate issuesMaintain error-free execution by paying close attention to detail and completing work to the highest standard; apply a continuous improvement mindsetAssist in the planning and execution of minor and major shutdowns, providing technical, hands-on support as neededProvide troubleshooting expertise for production unitsFollow established operating proceduresPromote and adhere to all safety rules and regulationsQualifications:High school diploma or GED requiredCertificate in process technology or a maintenance-related field (preferred), or a minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing, production, processing, or chemical/petrochemical environment; candidates with SkillsUSA participation are encouraged to applyStudents with a background in Industrial Systems, Electromechanical Technology, Process Technology, Electrical Technology, Instrumentation Technology are encouraged to apply.Strong mechanical, instrumentation, and electrical proficiency preferredExperience with pumps, mechanical seals, vessels, exchangers, gear drives, compressors, rotating equipment, and/or electrical/instrumentation systems is a plusDemonstrated commitment to safety and continuous improvementWillingness to work weekends and participate in an on-call rotation as neededSelf-starter with the ability to work independentlyExperience with plant/refinery instrumentation and electrical systems strongly preferredProficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft OfficeThis is a safety-sensitive positionWork Hours:Must be willing to work 12-hour rotating shifts, weekends, and participate in a 24-hour on-call rotationMust be a self-starter and able to work independently on nights, weekends, and holidaysPhysical Requirements:Must be able to climb ladders and stairs and lift a minimum of 50 lbsMust be able to meet call-in requirements as neededMust be comfortable working at elevated heightsAir Products proudly values the skills, dedication, and leadership that veterans offer.
