About the Role

WETM-TV (NBC) | WIVT/WBGH (ABC/NBC) is looking for a high-impact Director of Sales to steer our sales operations across two thriving New York markets: Elmira (WETM-TV) and Binghamton (WIVT/WBGH) . This isn't just a management role; it’s a powerhouse position designed for a visionary ready to lead multiple legacy affiliates into the next era of media.
The Director of Sales is responsible for delivering best in class sales performance, expanding into critical regional key accounts and channels, and implementing strategies that drive revenue growth, profitability, and market development in line with Nexstar's vision and values.
Key Responsibilities
- Create unique and customized media plans for high-profile buyers leveraging Nexstar Digital’s full suite of products, including OTT, Video, Social, Data, Addressable.
- Meet and exceed sales quota leveraging Nexstar’s growing suite of products.
- Manage a client pipeline and project revenue utilizing a CRM.
- Demonstrate fluency in ad technology and video advertising with strong communication and presentation skills.
- Show a track record of strategic sales and revenue growth in the digital video ecosystem.
- Communicate efficiently both externally and internally across multiple teams.
- Credibly influence decision makers and develop tailored solutions.
- Be highly organized, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and work in a team-oriented collaborative fashion.
- Willingness to take on additional opportunities as the company expands.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 3+ years of experience in selling TV, Video and Digital
- Strong attention to detail and an excellent team player
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite of products
- Willingness to travel
- Experience selling across multiple advertising products, especially OTT, display, video, and data (a plus)
- Fluency in ad technology and video advertising with strong communication and presentation skills
- Self-starter capable of flourishing in high-growth environments
- Energy and passion for growing a digital video advertising business
Compensation
$50,000 annual base salary, plus commission and bonus potential.
