Primary Objectives of Position:

The Account Manager acts as the principal representative and lead liaison for DCi client programs, including the coordination, planning and management of programs as assigned. In addition, the Account Manager is accountable for obtaining signed contracts, signed addendums and completing the final invoice process.

Major Areas of Accountability:

The Account Manager will coordinate and manage assigned programs by implementing a strategy and plan for each program and vendor partner

Post turnover meeting, the Account Manager will assume responsibility and become the main point of contact for the account, including but not limited to:

Communicate with all clients, staff, vendors, and all other involved parties to ensure overall account/client and program satisfaction

Operational program delivery at highest level of service and creativity

Contract vendors and staffing; provide oversight to ensure satisfactory performance

Complete and overall control of programming budgets to conform to budgetary requirements

Ensure appropriate insurance, permits, and certificates are in place

Collect deposits, reconcile add-ons and prepare and issue final billing to client

Must maintain a complete understanding of the program budget, expenses and profitability at all times

Key elements of Account Manager understanding and knowledge:

Transportation Management: Individual and Group arrivals and departures and the ability to develop and operate a transportation vehicle and shuttle system

Décor Elements: have an understanding and knowledge of décor elements used to create an event

Activities and Teambuilding: understanding and production of logistics and coordination

Dine Around: understanding and production of logistics and coordination

Audio, Video, Lighting, and staging elements

Onsite Production and entertainment

Amenity, gifting, and event registration services

Complete sales and contract process as needed

Develop and manage executive level relationships with clients, accounts, and partners

Participate in creative planning sessions with Sales personnel, Design & Development, and other staff members in the development of concepts and programs for accounts that lead to further sales for DCi with existing accounts

Participate in on-site inspections with Account Executive and clients

Provide any proposal revisions by working with Design & Development and Account Executive as needed

Communicate regularly with client and Account Executive to relate and assist with the progress of programs, and build rapport with client to ensure positive relations during the program planning process and program execution

Attend events and venues to increase knowledge base to support DCi programs

Build vendor relationships to include hotels, catering companies, entertainers and booking agents, venues, transportation companies, and other industry contacts

Knowledge and Skills Required

Bachelor's degree in related field such as Business, Marketing, Advertising or related area

3+ years’ related experience in program operation, sales, marketing, partnership negotiating, and contracting

DMC experience a significant plus and strongly encouraged

Demonstrate previous high-level experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint Software

Demonstrated ability in developing strategies for effective program operations

Creativity and strong communication, presentation, and customer service skills

Ability to prioritize workload and handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously

Ability to interface effectively with personnel critically to ensure the implementation of cost-effective programs that meet the accounts specifications

Analytical ability required to monitor profitability and cost effectiveness during program operation

Determine best course of action and best practices to produce and up sell programs that generate profitability and drive account satisfaction

Provide appropriate and effective guidance for team members

Flexibility, ability and willingness to travel monthly throughout the calendar year (Domestic Travel) for programming and operations
