Program Manager – Master of Applied Artificial Intelligence for Science (MAAISci)
Responsible for the overall management of the self‑supporting professional master’s program, including program strategy, administrative operations, financial oversight, student engagement, curriculum coordination, and external partnerships. This hybrid position reports to the Director of Student Affairs and the Faculty Director.
Key Responsibilities
Manage, plan, and administer program operations (student recruitment, admissions, reporting, stakeholder engagement, and budgeting). (50%)
Support the Associate Dean of Graduate Studies with recruitment, program development, student records, event coordination, and faculty fellowships. (25%)
Coordinate curriculum and course management, including enrollment, scheduling, TA assignments, and policy input. (10%)
Develop and maintain alumni, mentorship, and industry partnership programs; organize capstone recruitment and advisory board meetings. (5%)
Assist with website content, newsletters, marketing communications, and graduate student advising. (5%)
Required Qualifications
Knowledge of university policies, budgeting, and personnel management.
Strong interpersonal, communication, critical thinking, and persuasion skills.
Experience in event planning, fundraising, risk management, web design, accounting, and payroll.
Discretion and confidentiality.
Short‑term planning, analysis, problem‑solving, and customer service skills.
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in a related field.
A minimum of 3 years professional program management experience in an academic setting.
Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency with university‑specific computer applications, advising, and counseling techniques.
Knowledge of financial analysis/reporting and human resources policies for staff and academics.
Familiarity with academic programs, admissions, and financial aid at UC.
Experience working with a diverse graduate and undergraduate student population.
Total Rewards
