The Robotic Capital Sales Manager is responsible for driving the sales and strategic growth of Zimmer Biomet’s robotic-assisted surgical systems and capital equipment. This role focuses on delivering high-impact sales results, developing new business opportunities, and managing complex capital sales cycles. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic, team-based environment and excels in building trusted partnerships with healthcare professionals and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Lead the sales process for the company’s robotic surgical systems and related capital equipment across the assigned territory.

Develop and execute strategic account plans to meet or exceed capital sales targets and business objectives.

Build and maintain strong relationships with orthopedic surgeons, hospital administrators, procurement teams, territory leaders, and distributors.

Provide technical demonstrations, clinical insights, and ROI-based presentations to support customer decision-making and adoption.

Collaborate with clinical, marketing, and commercial teams to ensure optimal customer onboarding, system utilization, and long-term satisfaction.

Manage the full capital sales lifecycle including site assessments, budgeting timelines, proposal development, contract negotiation, and post-sale implementation planning.

Act as a subject matter expert on the company’s robotic platforms and articulate value propositions tailored to each stakeholder.

Maintain thorough knowledge of competitive products, industry trends, reimbursement changes, and healthcare technology innovation.

Travel extensively within the assigned territory to build relationships, support installations, and drive growth.

Strong knowledge of health care economics as it relates to value based healthcare and the impact of technology as a solution

Knowledge of competitor’s products and strategies, specifically in episode of care and patient engagement

Strong presentation skills to physicians, executives, and large audiences

Exceptional interpersonal communication skills, both speaking and listening to others

Strong negotiation and persuasion skills with the ability to overcome objections and influence outcomes Understanding of the sales, marketing, product engine, implementation and distributor functions.

Demonstrated ability to close complex sales with hospitals and health systems involving multiple stakeholders.

Strong clinical and technical acumen with the ability to effectively communicate complex technology.

Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Self‑starter with a strong sense of accountability and strategic thinking.

Education/Experience Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced healthcare‑related degree preferred.

5+ years of successful capital sales experience in medical devices, surgical robotics, or healthcare technology.
