The Senior Art Director will play a key leadership role within the creative team, overseeing concept development, visual storytelling, and campaign execution from pitch through final delivery. This role requires a strong creative point of view, exceptional design sensibility, and deep understanding of entertainment marketing and pop culture trends.
The ideal candidate is both a conceptual thinker and hands‑on creative leader who can inspire teams, elevate creative quality, and deliver visually compelling work under fast‑paced deadlines.
Responsibilities
Lead the visual direction and creative development of entertainment marketing campaigns across digital, social, AV, print, OOH, and integrated platforms
Concept and execute high-impact campaign ideas for theatrical, streaming, television, gaming, and entertainment clients
Collaborate closely with copywriters, creative directors, strategists, producers, editors, and account teams throughout the creative process
Develop and present creative concepts, mood boards, design systems, and campaign visuals to internal teams and clients
Oversee the execution and refinement of creative assets to ensure high-quality, brand-consistent work
Mentor and provide creative guidance to designers and junior art directors
Ensure projects align with client objectives, platform requirements, timelines, and production capabilities
Stay current on entertainment, design, social, and cultural trends to inform creative innovation
Participate in pitches, brainstorms, and new business opportunities
Maintain a high standard of craft, typography, composition, motion-aware design, and storytelling across all deliverables
Qualifications
6+ years of experience in art direction or design within an entertainment agency, creative agency, studio, or media company
Strong portfolio demonstrating conceptual campaign thinking and exceptional visual execution
Deep understanding of entertainment marketing and multi-platform campaign development
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
Strong understanding of social, digital, print, OOH, and motion/AV design principles
Ability to lead creative projects from concept through production
Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple fast-paced projects simultaneously
Ability to thrive under tight deadlines while maintaining creative excellence
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working on theatrical, streaming, A/V, or television campaigns
Experience presenting directly to studio or entertainment clients
Familiarity with production, finishing, and print workflows
