The role blends hands‑on engineering, algorithm implementation, and system‑level problem‑solving, requiring a strong foundation in RF analysis, software development, and Linux‑based environments. The engineer will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to architect robust, scalable, and high‑performance signal processing capabilities.
Position Responsibilities
Analyze, process, and interpret RF signals across a variety of operational scenarios.
Design, develop, and integrate signal processing algorithms into production‑ready software.
Implement systems and applications within Linux environments, ensuring reliability and performance.
Develop and maintain message queue–based communication frameworks for distributed systems.
Collaborate with hardware, software, and systems engineering teams to integrate DSP components into larger architectures.
Support testing, validation, and troubleshooting of DSP systems, SDR components, and RF processing pipelines.
Document system designs, interfaces, and implementation details to support long‑term maintainability.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience.
Experience in RF signal analysis.
Experience with message queue implementation and communication frameworks.
Ability to design, develop, and implement systems within a Linux environment.
Demonstrated experience coding with C++ and Python.
Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
Other Qualifications & Desired Competencies
Background in Digital Signal Processing with strong understanding of satellite communications system design, theory, and software implementation.
Experience with DSP hardware and software development tools (digitizers, development kits, IDEs).
Experience creating or integrating components with software‑defined radio (SDR) development suites such as GNURadio or X‑Midas.
Familiarity integrating signal processing technologies into virtual (VMWare) and containerized (Docker/Kubernetes) environments.
