The Academy of Finance® is seeking a visually sophisticated freelance video editor and brand designer to support the growth of its media and communications platform.

As the Academy continues to expand, we are building our own in-house media environment and content studio inspired by the atmosphere of financial networks such as CNBC and Schwab Network. The role now goes beyond editing alone — we are looking for someone capable of helping shape and produce a refined media presence from filming to final delivery.

Our content sits at the intersection of finance, education, and luxury branding. We are looking for someone with strong aesthetic sensibility and experience creating cinematic, elevated, and intentional content across video and social media platforms.

Our visual identity draws inspiration from luxury houses and prestige institutions: minimal, timeless, disciplined, and detail-oriented. The ideal candidate understands how to create polished content without making it feel overly commercial or trend-driven.

Responsibilities

Record and produce interviews, market discussions, and media segments

Edit short-form and long-form video content

Create elevated social media visuals and graphics

Assist with lighting, framing, audio, and studio setup

Edit and enhance photography

Maintain consistency across typography, pacing, transitions, color, and branding

Support the Academy’s growing media and storytelling platform

Preferred Background

Experience with luxury brands, fashion, hospitality, editorial, or premium institutions

Strong understanding of cinematic editing and visual storytelling

Experience filming and producing interview-style content

Familiarity with studio-style production environments

Experience with Reels, Shorts, YouTube, and social-first content

Interest in finance and investing is essential

Technical Skills

Adobe Premiere Pro

Adobe After Effects

Adobe Photoshop

Adobe Illustrator

Canva

Experience in filming, photography, lighting, sound, or media production is strongly preferred.

Understanding of modern luxury branding and storytelling

Organized, responsive, and professional

Comfortable working in a highly curated and fast-moving creative environment

Availability

Immediate availability preferred

Approximately 3 days per week
