Director Of Marketing Communications Calero, the leading Technology Expense Management solution for global enterprises, is seeking a Director of Marketing Communications to build and lead a Marketing Center of Excellence that powers how our brand shows up in the market. Reporting to the SVP of Marketing, this role operates as the head of an internal marketing agency—responsible for driving speed, quality, consistency, and impact across content, creative, social, PR, and events.
This is not a traditional marcom role. The Director of Marketing Communications will design and operationalize scalable systems that translate go-to-market strategy into high-quality execution, ensuring Calero presents a clear, authoritative, and differentiated presence across all channels.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Build and operationalize Calero's internal marketing agency model, serving Demand Generation, Channel, Product Marketing, and Sales
Design and manage intake, prioritization, and production workflows with clear SLAs and performance expectations
Own end-to-end content and creative production, including:
Thought leadership and POV content
Campaign and digital assets
Sales enablement materials
Event and experiential creative
Develop and maintain a repeatable production system that improves speed to market, output quality, and consistency
Own Calero's brand voice, messaging framework, and visual identity, ensuring consistent execution across all GTM programs
Translate positioning into a scalable messaging hierarchy (tagline, value narrative, POVs, buyer implications, product stories)
Establish and govern brand standards without creating friction or slowing execution
Build and manage a library of templates and modular assets to accelerate production at scale
Own Calero's social media strategy, with a primary focus on LinkedIn as a core GTM and authority channel
Develop executive social presence and thought leadership programs for senior leaders
Own and evolve Calero's public relations strategy in partnership with external agencies
Position Calero executives as category-defining voices through media placements, bylined content, and speaking opportunities
Track performance across brand, content, social, and PR using metrics tied to visibility, credibility, and pipeline influence
Serve as the central production and execution partner to GTM leadership, balancing speed, prioritization, and business impact
Experience:
10+ years of experience in marketing communications, brand, or content leadership roles
Proven experience building and scaling content and creative operations
Experience operating in B2B, SaaS, or enterprise technology environments
Demonstrated success managing PR strategy and agency relationships
Experience supporting executive communications and thought leadership
Track record of translating strategy into high-quality, scalable execution
Skills:

The base salary range for this position is $120,000 - $140,000. It is important to Calero that potential candidates for this position understand that compensation depends on numerous factors including the geographic location where the role will be performed, skills required, experience, complexity, travel, and market rate. Calero aims to reward performance and attract top talent with competitive, fair pay and benefits. Please note that the top of the salary range represents exceptional, and/or senior-level positions, that meet all required qualifications. Actual offers take candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience into account. Base Pay is just one component of the total compensation package for employees.
