Objectives

Responsible for management and execution of local marketing tactics
Assist with all Advertising and Public Relations opportunities in conjunction with hotel's agencies
Improve hotel positioning in local, national and international markets
Increase total revenue for various business segments through the execution of hotel marketing strategy
Assist with local marketing expense planning and processing
Identify new marketing opportunities that support the business needs of each of the hotels' segments
Primary Responsibilities

Manage annual local marketing budgets and strategic planning process through Local Marketing Tactic System
Meet regularly with Area Director of Marketing and each Director of Sales & Marketing to stay current on changing business needs in order to develop and/or revise tactics to address concerns and opportunities
Execute local marketing plan and serve as contact with supporting agencies (when applicable)
Work with hotel strategy teams to determine key need dates and opportunities to drive revenue
Assist in coordinating print and digital advertising opportunities with approved corporate vendors
Supervise and execute the production of marketing materials, promotional and internal communications materials to ensure they align with business objectives and brand standards
Develop and manage assets within Hyatt Brand Manager for photography and print and digital collateral (rack cards, sales kits, iSalesKit, e‑Brochures, posters, in‑room promotion, etc.)
Execute recommended corporate marketing initiatives at the local level and provide corporate counterparts with formal results summary
Maintain graphic standards and integrity for all print ads and promotional material distributed internally and externally
Participate in brand training and development sessions
Establish relationships with the media at a local, regional, and national level (in association with PR agency, when applicable)
Review and approve with Area Director of Marketing all hotel press releases
Coordinate proactive and reactive onsite press visits (in association with PR agency, when applicable)
Evaluate promotional opportunities presented to hotel as well as develop promotions and partnerships to meet the hotel's marketing and revenue objectives
Develop, coordinate and publicize special events to generate positive awareness and support the marketing revenue objectives of the hotel inclusive of festive holiday programming and, programming for low demand periods.
Manage and handle all incoming requests for on‑property filming, includes developing of location fee schedule and assessing value of requests
Develop, coordinate, execute and maintain a social media plan including, but not limited to, Facebook and Instagram. (in association with agency, when applicable)
Develop, coordinate, execute and maintain influencer relationships for the benefit of the hotel and promoting key initiatives
Manage and maintain marketing calendar of events and initiatives for all 3 hotels.
Assist Area Marketing Director with monthly recap slides of all social media and influencer work completed for the month.
Maintain all hotel and outlet website content, inclusive of menus, photography, hours, and website copy
Coordinate and oversee all vendors including, but not limited to: photographers, graphic designers, videographers, media, and website development agencies.
Salary

The salary range for this position is $72,800 to $91,500 – this is an hourly manager role. This is the pay range for this position that Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, such as experience and education.

Qualifications

Self‑starter and a team leader
Effective management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
Creative, organized and strong business sense
Superb proficiency in spoken and written English
Effective communications & presentation skills
Budget management and expense processing
Proven quantitative analytical skills
Four‑year college degree. Preferably a degree in Marketing / PR / Communications
2 years minimum marketing experience (hospitality experience preferred)
Project management experience preferred
In‑depth knowledge of marketing principles and strategic planning process
Experience in social media content creation
Strong design skills, ability to use Canva
Photography skills preferred
Experience with Squarespace preferred
