Emerald is seeking an Account Executive to sell exhibit space and sponsorships for our multi-brand sales team. This is a full-cycle sales role — you will prospect for new exhibitors, close deals, and manage existing accounts to ensure retention and growth.
The ideal candidate is a relationship builder and closer, skilled at matching client needs to event opportunities, and able to deliver revenue results while providing a best-in-class exhibitor experience.
This position is based out of our Alpharetta, GA or New York, NY - Broadway offices.
Responsibilities
Drive revenue through new business development, upselling, and account retention across exhibit space and sponsorship products.
Proactively prospect for new exhibitors while managing and growing assigned accounts.
Develop proposals and negotiate contracts that align with client goals and event objectives.
Accurately manage and forecast your sales pipeline using Salesforce, maintaining up-to-date account details and activity records.
Achieve assigned revenue, retention, and activity goals.
Build strong relationships with decision-makers and influencers to ensure repeat participation.
Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging exhibitor categories.
Attend industry events and competitive shows as needed for business development.
Qualifications
B2B sales experience with a strong preference for trade show or event sales.
Proven ability to manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to close and retention.
Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM required.
Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
Goal-oriented with a sense of urgency and high level of accountability.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
