Our client, a leading social media platform, is seeking a Social Media Analyst on a contract basis.

Location: New York, NY or San Francisco Bay Area

Pay Range: $65.00 - $72.00 per hour DOE

Our client is looking for a Social Media Analyst to join their Content Studio organization, which is responsible for crafting the story with the most influential strategic audiences through compelling content.

This role will be focused on publishing and data reporting for Meta for Business social accounts. This person will support and work alongside the strategy and creative teams to publish content on a daily basis across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube, gather and analyze performance trends of that content, and present findings to better serve our business audiences.

The ideal candidate has a passion for data, technology, and people. This person should have experience managing or supporting the social accounts for national or global brands from an agency or within a client company. The candidate must have strong expertise in data reporting, analysis, and insights. The candidate should be passionate about data and can translate numbers into a larger story. Taking initiative, being a self-starter, and requiring minimal oversight are critical to success in this role.

Core Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day publishing of content across Meta for Business social platforms, working with the team to ensure the content pipeline is consistent and ready to go live

Analyze social performance data at a post-level, campaign-level, and platform-level on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis

Create and present actionable data-driven insights and recommendations to team, program leads, internal partners, and leadership

Analyze audience growth, trends, and insights to inform organic growth strategy

Plug into existing org-wide reporting efforts with the ability to understand and input into complex data sets

Minimum Qualifications

3+ years experience as a data analyst, social media analyst

Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related field with emphasis on data analytics

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Suite (including Sheets) and data visualization

Advanced knowledge of social platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn)

Strong in analytical and critical thinking

Experience with content management systems such as Asana

Effective written and verbal communication skills
