About Translation Commons
Translation Commons is a nonprofit public charity dedicated to providing a reliable and scalable method for digitally rendering languages. Our mission is to solve the problem of unrepresented languages struggling to participate in a global communications network, and since 2015, we have successfully helped digitize numerous endangered languages.
Overview:
The Marketing & Content Team is seeking volunteer Press Officer to build & consolidate relations with International Media. These roles are fully remote, volunteer-based, and provide practical experience in international localization workflows.
Responsibilities:
Consolidate press mailing list
Write and send press releases to the mailing list
Schedule and monitor individual and team interviews
Produce clippings and reports on TC's presence in the media
Ideal Skills:
Proactive, problem-solving attitude
Strong project management and communication skills
Attention to detail
Ability to manage distributed teams
Experience with TMS or project management tools preferred
Weekly commitment of ~5 hours
