About the Role
We are seeking a highly creative and technically skilled Video Editor & AI Prompting Specialist to support our evolving workflows in AI-driven video content creation. This role blends expert-level editorial craft with emerging AI video-generation skills (e.g., VEO3, Runway, Pika, Sora, Stable Video, etc.).
The ideal candidate has 5‑7 years of editorial experience, a passion for cutting‑edge AI tools, and a growth mindset driven by continuous learning, R&D, and experimentation. You will help shape the future of AI‑enhanced storytelling for one of the most influential media brands in the world.
Your Day to Day
Creative Editing & Post‑Production
Edit a wide range of deliverables including sizzles, branded content, pitches, case studies, short‑form social, and campaign assets.
Own edits from kickoff through delivery, incorporating creative judgment while responding to producer and stakeholder direction.
Establish pacing, structure, tone, music, and narrative direction aligned with creative briefs.
Proactively recommend alternate approaches, creative enhancements, or improved storytelling solutions.
Maintain visual and narrative consistency across campaigns, deliverables, formats, and audiences.
Version content for multiple platforms, languages, and technical specifications.
Perform basic color correction, audio cleanup, and prep projects for finishing as needed.
Export, QC, and deliver final assets on schedule.
AI Video Prompting & Generation
Develop, refine, and iterate prompts for AI video‑generation tools to achieve visually compelling, brand‑aligned content.
Translate creative concepts into structured prompts, storyboards, visual references, and AI‑ready inputs.
Rapidly prototype AI‑generated visuals for pitches, speculative work, and concept development.
Evaluate when AI‑generated content is the right solution versus traditional production.
Assess brand, legal, representation, and reputational considerations related to AI‑generated visuals.
Maintain internal AI prompt libraries, workflows, and best practices.
Support and guide editors, designers, and creative partners on AI workflows and tool adoption.
Research, Learning & AI Innovation
Stay ahead of emerging AI video platforms, features, capabilities, and industry shifts.
Participate in or help lead R&D initiatives aimed at enhancing AI workflows and editorial efficiencies.
Evaluate new model releases, beta technologies, prompt methodologies, and creative breakthroughs.
Document and socialize learnings, helping establish long‑term AI video strategy and best practices within Así Studios.
Continuous learning is a core expectation of this role.
Client, Sales & Stakeholder Collaboration
Partner with internal teams and partners to support pitches, advertiser deliverables, and creative development.
Interpret client feedback and quickly translate it into actionable editorial changes.
Support fast‑turn and same‑day revisions when required.
Balance creative excellence with client needs, brand objectives, and campaign goals.
Asset Management & Post‑Production Operations
Maintain organized asset storage, folder structure, naming conventions, and metadata.
Prep and package footage for editors, vendors, and creative partners.
Clean and archive projects for long‑term retrieval.
Manage physical and digital media, including cataloging, shipping, and tracking.
Contribute to workflow improvements and operational efficiencies.
Production & On‑Set Support
Support on‑set productions as needed, including media ingest, backups, and checksum verification.
Act as the bridge between production and post‑production during shoots.
Oversee freelancers or production assistants on post‑related tasks.
Assist with equipment prep, transport, and breakdown.
Travel as required for productions.
Performance, Quality & Business Impact
Work efficiently under tight, fast‑paced, and deadline‑driven environments.
Optimize content for performance, platform engagement, and client KPIs.
Contribute to pitch success and campaign results through strong creative execution.
Uphold exceptional standards of quality, accuracy, and reliability.
You Have
5‑7 years of experience in video editing, post‑production, or creative production.
Strong proficiency in Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
Hands‑on experience with AI video generation tools and prompt engineering.
Exceptional storytelling, pacing, and visual composition skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and self‑sufficient in complex workflows.
Ability to communicate diplomatically when creative integrity or brand standards are at stake.
Eligibility Requirements
Must be willing to work from office in New York or Miami and travel as needed for production.
Fluency in English and Spanish, with the ability to think, write, present, and communicate seamlessly in both languages (spoken and written proficiency required).
Employment/education will be verified.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis.
Exact Compensation
Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
Base Pay Range
$110,000 to $120,000 + benefits.
