Responsibilities
Lead interior design concepts, finish palettes, and furniture solutions.
Independently collect, interpret, and document client programming requirements
Develop adjacency diagrams, block plans, and detailed space plans that support operational and design goals
Conduct and oversee as‑built field verifications and integrate findings into project documentation
Lead the development and coordination of color/material palettes, finish schemes, and material compatibility requirements
Develop and coordinate construction documents and interior specifications aligned with design intent, technical standards, and regulatory requirements
Oversee modifications and updates to construction documents throughout design and construction phases
Lead furniture specifications and coordinate with vendors to support pricing, procurement, and installation
Review shop drawings and submittals and provide recommendations aligned with design intent
Participate in vendor engagement and stay current with materials, products, and industry trends
Serve as a client contact for interior design scope and build strong, effective client relationships.
Mentor and support junior designers, promoting professional growth and design excellence
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design from a CIDA‑accredited program
8+ years of commercial interior design experience, including furniture applications; healthcare experience preferred
NCIDQ and/or CID certification, or ability to obtain
Advanced proficiency in Revit with strong 3D visualization skills
Strong expertise in space planning, technical documentation, materials, and interior design standards
Proven ability to lead creative, functional design solutions for complex projects
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple projects independently and adapt to evolving requirements
Experience with Lumion, Bluebeam and Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
LEED accreditation or interest in obtaining is a plus

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wayzata, MN.
Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
