The Opportunity
The Mattel Team is seeking an experienced and highly creative Digital Brand Designer & Video Animator/Editor with a passion for design, digital storytelling, motion design, and content creation across all marketing and visual communication channels. This role is responsible for developing innovative and strategically driven creative assets that support brand strategy and business objectives across digital, social, video, eCommerce, experiential, retail, CRM, and integrated marketing campaigns.

What Your Impact Will Be
The scope of responsibilities spans 360‑campaign activations including branding, social content, video production, animation, digital design, motion graphics, experiential creative, eCommerce assets, presentations, brand guidelines, and visual storytelling. Success in this role requires strong collaboration, prompt delivery, creative innovation, and the ability to manage multiple projects while producing high‑quality assets.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

Develop breakthrough creative concepts, digital designs, motion graphics, animations, and video content.

Design and execute visual assets including key art, social content, animated graphics, and digital campaigns.

Edit video content for social media, presentations, internal communications, and promotional initiatives.

Create motion graphics, animations, title sequences, transitions, and visual effects.

Utilize AI‑powered creative tools and workflows to support ideation and production efficiencies.

Build, organize, maintain, and evolve brand guidelines, creative toolkits, templates, and visual systems.

Collaborate cross‑functionally with copywriters, producers, marketers, designers, licensors, and vendors.

What We're Looking For
Experience, Knowledge, Skills

4–7 years minimum experience in Graphic Design, Motion Graphics, Video Editing, Animation, or related field.

Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in branding, digital design, animation, and video editing.

Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and Premiere Pro.

Experience with AI creative tools and emerging creative technologies.

Experience with large‑scale global brands and agency environments preferred.

Education

BA/BS/BFA in Graphic Design, Digital Media, Motion Graphics, Animation, Visual Communications, or related field preferred.

Competencies

Strong understanding of branding, graphic design principles, typography, and visual storytelling.

Advanced knowledge of video editing, animation, motion graphics, and post‑production workflows.

Proficiency utilizing AI‑powered creative tools and workflows.

Ability to build and maintain brand guidelines, design systems, and templates.

Strong organizational, presentation, communication, and project management skills.
