How You Will Succeed As A Media Technician
Under the direction of the Lab Supervisor, the Media Technician cultures media preparation for laboratory functions in the lab's daily operation and maintenance. The duties will include but are not limited to:

Media preparation and sterilization while following aseptic techniques

Keep media stocked, rotated, and properly labeled to ensure and maintain media integrity

Maintain and record data while following protocols in relation to regulatory standards such as GLP, NELAP, TNI and ISO 17025

Autoclave and dispose of laboratory biohazardous trash produced, and cleaning and sterilizing glassware and supplies

Execute projects and any additional duties as assigned to meet changing laboratory needs and requirements

Perform general maintenance to ensure upkeep of laboratory

Position & Schedule
This is a Full‑Time, M‑F, 8:00AM –5:00PM, Onsite position at Nova Biologicals in Conroe, TX. Occasional Weekends and OT Eligible.

To Thrive As The Media Technician
The ideal candidate will be authorized to work in the United States indefinitely, without restriction or sponsorship; a B.S. in Food Science, Microbiology, Biology or related science field, and possess good working knowledge of laboratory terminology.

Other items include:

Experience working in a laboratory setting, preferably an analytical setting

Ability to work both independently and within a team and possess strong interpersonal skills and verbal/written communication skills

Strong familiarity with Aseptic technique preferred

Knowledge of LIMS, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
