This role is expected to uphold the organization's mission and values and meet assigned sales goals.Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify targets and build lead generation campaignsExecute outbound prospecting and company social media postingDevelop marketing campaignsBuild and maintain a network of sources to identify new sales leadsCommunicate with customers and leads to understand product or service needs and recommend appropriate solutionsNurture pipeline through site visits, email, calls, and related follow-upMaintain detailed reports of sales activities including site visits, calls, orders, sales, lost business, and customer or vendor relationship issuesProvide periodic territory sales forecastsConduct discovery meetings to identify potential opportunities and timelinesManage customer expectationsEnsure customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management, including resolving post-sale issuesMaintain communication with existing and previous customers regarding new products, services, and enhancementsAdvance opportunities to internal team members as needed, including CEO, Account Manager, Sales Team, Support, and RecruitingFollow the proposal process from acceptance through close with the clientArrange sales visits and meetings with clientsDemonstrate products or services and explain their benefitsGenerate leads and identify new business opportunitiesNegotiate sales deals and contracts with clientsTake and process orders and follow up on issuesPerform other duties as assignedRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related fieldFive (5) years minimum outbound business development sales experience in Technology or SaaS industriesExperience in a business development role, including:success in lead generation using email, social media, and networking to create leadsprospecting with a high level of cold calls and follow-up activitiesadvancing opportunities by setting meetings, proposing solutions, and closing new clientsPreferred QualificationsBachelor's degree preferredMaster's degree preferredCore CompetenciesBusiness acumen, including understanding business organizations, budgets, hierarchies, and how to discuss technology initiatives within an organizationMethodical and detailed communication, with articulate and creative messaging that drives responsesAbility to confidently and quickly assess opportunities through excellent questioning and listening skillsStrong relationship-building skills with the ability to identify key stakeholders and influencersConstant forward motion in managing activity and moving opportunities through the pipelineOrganized and efficient use of CRM, follow-up, calls, and territory activityTravelThis position may require some travel, including travel outside the local area and possible overnight stays.
