Greet and assist patients while providing exceptional customer service in person and over the phone. Support daily front office operations to ensure a smooth, positive experience for patients. Responsible for accurate scheduling, check in procedures, insurance verification, and maintaining complete and timely patient information, appointments, and follow ups. Collect copays and patient payments.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Greet, communicate, and treat patients in a professional, honest, fair, and respectful manner at all times.Maintain HIPAA required and all other confidentiality while working with confidential matters on a daily basis.Assist with billing inquiries and coordinate with the billing department as needed.Answer incoming calls, route messages, and provide general informationCoordinate and manage patient appointments, follow ups, and provider schedulesCommunicate appointment reminders and scheduling changes to patientsCollect payments from patients for processing.Explain to patients’ terms for repayment structures, payment policies, and insurance coverage.Answer any questions patients may have about their account.Enter payer information into established software system accurately and completely.Manage various types of paperwork and other clerical duties.Maintain patient files and ensure confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA.Document insurance information, personal information, payment methods, and other important patient information accurately and appropriately communicate that information.Support overall workflow to ensure efficient patient care.OTHER SIGNIFICANT REQUIREMENTS:Maintain confidentiality on a daily basis.Work well with other employees.Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.WHY EHD?PEOPLE FIRSTOur staff is our most valued asset.
