Job Description Summary
The Content Specialist creates the content and materials that enable both instructor‑led, and self‑learning training on topics related to Viega LLC Digital Systems. Within this role, the incumbent will have an opportunity to impact the entire organization as the content they develop will be provided as the educational material for all operations. The incumbent will assist training needs assessment and identify skills or knowledge gaps that need to be addressed. This role will follow a brand and its style guidelines, and they adhere to a company or project’s submission deadlines. They may also be called upon to monitor website traffic or make sure a site is working properly and to respond to all relevant website feedback. The Content Specialist will also help with the Apprenticeship Program, such as organizing workflow and ensuring that employees understand their duties or delegated tasks. The incumbent will help monitor employee productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching, receive complaints, and resolve problems, and maintain timekeeping and personnel records.

Conduct organization‑wide training needs assessment and identify skills or knowledge gaps that need to be addressed.

Collaborating with the departments and team members and brainstorming subjects for creative content.

Creating unique, simple‑to‑understand, and user‑friendly content using good SEO techniques.

Develop Strategic Content Goals

Editing and proofreading new content with other business leaders before publication.

Creating AR/VR training content for new and existing employees.

Managing the distribution of content through our various channels, including social media.

Analyzing performance indicators and web traffic and determining the effectiveness of created content.

Create Content and Manage Content Distribution

Collaborate/Utilize Heat Map with Other Departments on Content Creation

Analyze Key Performance Indicators to Determine Content Effectiveness

Quality Assurance

Create and maintain PowerPoint decks and facilitator guides for instructor lead trainingImproving the presentation creation process marrying template and customized approaches to gain efficiencies

Function as the subject matter expert within Plastics and Metals

Review materials and communications for regulatory compliance

Coordinate routing of material to required reviewers

Manage and develop author and vendor talent

Collaborate with authors to shape manuscript

Attend meetings as required and/or assigned.

Assist in developing/maintaining a robust and effective training plan

Need to be familiar with all areas of Plastics and Metals and other areas as needed

Clearly communicate the Viega safety culture and proper procedures and techniques

Able to communicate Viega's purpose and help new joiners connect to Viega's values.

Special Job Dimensions
Will be required to travel up to 5% of the time.

Required Qualifications

Familiar with all areas of Plastics and Metals

Strong communication and training skills

Strong organizational skills

Familiar with Microsoft Office

Ability to support basic Learning Management Administrative tasks

Demonstrated collaboration with department leaders and other functional areas

Education, Certification/License & Work Experience

Associate or Bachelor's degree in Education, HR, Marketing, or related field

Training Development Certificate or equivalent

Adult Learning Theory or equivalent is preferred

Previous knowledge of Plastics and Metals manufacturing is beneficial but not required.

Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.

Total Rewards Package
Compensation

Base: $92,000 to $122,000 USD annually, based on specific compensable factors including, but not limited to education, work experience, and geographic market.

Bonus: This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company's performance and their own individual performance.
