We are looking for a seasoned Interaction Designer to join the YouTube Main App team. You will transform complex tasks into intuitive, easy‑to‑use experiences for billions of users, focusing on simplicity, beauty, and AI innovation across all devices.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

6 years of interaction design experience in product design or UX design.

Experience with visual design principles.

Include a portfolio, website, or any other relevant link to your work in your resume.

Preferred: Master's degree in design, human‑computer interaction, computer science, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

3 years of experience working in a cross‑functional organization.

Experience with systems thinking and design systems.

Experience designing and launching for iOS, Android, Web, and other platforms.

Experience or knowledge of AI/LLMs.

Knowledge of user‑centered design principles.

Responsibilities

Explore high‑value opportunities and net‑new product innovations that expand the ecosystem by identifying emerging user needs.

Develop UX strategies and lead cross‑functional stakeholders to land solutions that drive product impact.

Prioritize team success by fostering a welcoming environment, coaching other designers, and pushing collective design thinking.

Articulate design positions, challenge partners, and define the design quality across the product path.

The US base salary range for this full‑time position is $159,000‑$231,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, and relevant experience and education. Learn more about benefits at Google.
