Video Producer (Level 1 Journalist, Temp-guild)

About the Role
As a Video Producer (Level 1 Journalist – Temp), you will:

Produce, edit, write and deliver agency video stories from both office and field.

Respond quickly to major breaking news events in a responsible manner.

Work long hours, including weekend shifts, often under extreme pressure and unsupervised at times.

Have a sharp eye for visual news elements and video storytelling.

Have a thorough understanding of video technology and social media.

Have excellent communication skills.

About You
You are a fit for the Video Producer (Level 1 Journalist – Temp) if you likely have:

Minimum five years of experience as a professional video producer with a strong track record covering hard news.

Experience with live broadcast and technical knowledge.

Experience in broadcast or agency television news gathering and production.

Significant experience working with multimedia and video packaging teams.

Willingness to travel to breaking news stories, often at short notice.

Strong skills in driving accuracy and speed while upholding Thomson Reuters editorial principles and policies.

Understanding needs of broadcast and digital clients regionally and internationally.

Excellent English writing skills.

Additional language skills considered an advantage.

Eligible office location(s) for this role include one or more of the following: New York City, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and/or Irvine, CA; McLean, VA; Washington, DC. The base compensation hourly range for the role in any of those locations is $39 USD - $70 USD per hour.
