Overview
Our client, Robert Half, is seeking a Production Artist to support packaging and label development for a variety of branded and private-label products in Memphis, Tennessee or Charlotte, North Carolina.
This long-term contract position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced production environment, values precision, and can turn design concepts into accurate, press-ready files. The role calls for a dependable contributor who can work autonomously after onboarding while staying closely connected with creative and production partners.
Responsibilities
Produce and refine packaging and label artwork for multiple product formats, including cartons, manufactured goods, and proprietary brand materials.
Prepare final production files with a strong focus on layout accuracy, technical compliance, and print readiness.
Manage, retrieve, and organize digital assets and working files within company-hosted storage systems.
Partner with design and production colleagues to resolve artwork challenges and support efficient project delivery.
Communicate questions, risks, and corrections early so timelines and quality standards remain on target.
Apply careful quality checks throughout the production process to ensure consistency across packaging components.
Contribute practical recommendations that improve file preparation, artwork execution, and overall production workflow.
Requirements
Demonstrated hands-on experience working on packaging and label production.
Strong command of Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Creative Cloud tools used in production environments.
Solid understanding of print production, pre-production, and post-production processes.
Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to spot inconsistencies and maintain high-quality output.
Ability to work independently after initial direction while remaining collaborative and responsive to team needs.
Comfortable raising concerns, asking clarifying questions, and offering thoughtful process improvements.
Familiarity with packaging design, packaging components, and project coordination in a deadline-driven setting.
