Night/Weekend News Writer & Producer (Part-Time)

Job Summary
We are looking for a part‑time news writer and producer for iHeart Media's 24/7 News operation in Phoenix. This in‑house position requires strong attention to detail and organizational skills, and must be completed on site. The role requires working nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

Write and edit news content for the 24/7 Newswire.

Cover breaking news at the local, regional, and national level.

Post text and audio content to various affiliate platforms.

Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Three-plus years of news/journalism experience.

Excellent writing, editing, and grammar skills.

Background in editing and content creation.

Highly proficient in covering breaking news and overall newsroom management.

Ability to make quick decisions in a deadline‑oriented environment.

Willingness to work overnights, weekends, and holidays.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
