Multimedia Producer
The Multimedia Producer is a creative contributor on the Marketing and Communications team at the Vanderbilt University Owen Graduate School of Management. This role produces high-quality photo, video, and graphic content that supports institutional storytelling, marketing initiatives, and communications goals.
Reporting to and under the direction of the Assistant Director of Creative Strategy, the Multimedia Producer executes projects from concept through delivery, managing all phases of production. The role supports content across owned, earned, and paid media and plays a critical role in capturing and activating key moments across the Owen community.
The Owen Graduate School of Management (OGSM) is a professional school at Vanderbilt University, located in Nashville, Tennessee, focused on graduate-level business education. The Marketing and Communications team at the Owen Graduate School of Management serves as a strategic partner to the school's enrollment, academic, advancement, and engagement efforts. The team is responsible for shaping and stewarding the Owen brand, translating strategy into clear messaging, and bringing the school's people, programs, and impact to life across channels.
The team blends brand strategy, content, creative, digital, analytics, and paid media to drive demand, strengthen reputation, and support institutional growth. Work is highly collaborative and cross-functional, with close partnerships across Owen, Vanderbilt, and external stakeholders.
The culture of the team emphasizes strategic thinking, creative excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement, with a strong focus on measurable outcomes and long-term brand equity.
Duties and Responsibilities
Produce photo, video, and graphic content from concept development through final delivery
Execute pre-production, production, and post-production workflows including planning, shooting, editing, and formatting
Capture and edit content for use across owned, earned, and paid media channels
Collaborate with content, marketing, stakeholder, and external partners to translate stories into visual formats
Adapt visual assets for multiple platforms and distribution requirements
Manage media assets, file organization, and archival systems
Maintain equipment, production schedules, and workflow documentation
Support coverage of key institutional moments, events, and milestones
Other duties as assigned
Supervisory Relationships
This position does not have direct supervisory responsibility. This position reports administratively and functionally to the Assistant Director of Creative Strategy.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required
Demonstrated experience producing photo and video content is required
Proficiency with industry-standard production and editing tools is required
Strong visual storytelling skills and attention to detail are required
Experience managing production workflows and deadlines is required
Experience producing content for institutional or editorial environments is preferred
