Summary

The Director of Sales will develop and execute strategies that maximize revenue across Group Sales, Tour & Travel Sales, Premium Sales, and Private Events for Cosm Hollywood Park. This individual will combine creativity with business savvy to build Cosm brand equity, create awareness, and drive ticket sales and revenue. The ideal candidate is a resourceful and innovative deal maker with an entrepreneurial spirit and partnership-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies across Group Sales, Tour & Travel Sales, Hospitality Sales, Premium Sales, and Private Events.
  • Consistently achieve or exceed sales targets and revenue goals through strategic planning and team leadership.
  • Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to align sales initiatives with brand goals and event execution.
  • Lead group sales initiatives through creative outreach, strategic partnerships, and educational programming to drive consistent year‑round revenue.
  • Lead sales strategy for private events and full venue rentals through a balanced approach of inbound inquiries and proactive outbound outreach to drive bookings and revenue growth.
  • Provide strong sales leadership by motivating, coaching, and guiding the team to drive performance, accountability, and results across all revenue streams.
  • Build and nurture strategic partnerships with high‑profile clients and industry stakeholders, including Fortune 500 companies, sports and entertainment executives, convention and visitor bureaus, and leading event professionals.
  • Evaluate the financial viability and potential risks and liabilities of private events and venue rentals to ensure profitable and sustainable business opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate sales reports, forecasts, and CRM data to inform strategy and planning.
  • Analyze booking trends, client feedback, and competitive benchmarks to refine sales tactics and offerings.
  • Participate in ongoing departmental financial analysis, planning and budgeting.
  • Monitor competitive programs and analyze consumer and tourism (international and domestic) marketplace trends on an ongoing basis; identify key insights and adjust and enhance sales plans accordingly.
  • Represent Cosm at trade shows, networking events, and industry conferences to build awareness and generate leads.
  • Partner with the marketing team to align on strategies that drive revenue across ticket sales and private event rentals. Collaborate on targeted campaigns, digital and experiential promotions, and brand messaging that resonate with key audiences.
  • Develop campaigns to drive lead generation, boost conversion rates, and strengthen brand visibility across private event sales and group ticketing channels.
  • Work closely with ticketing system personnel and box office staff to track sales and execute ticketing programs.
  • Oversee daily revenue tracking, database management, and ensure accuracy of contracts and invoices.
  • Maintain open communication and build effective and collaborative relationships within Cosm key internal and external stakeholders.

Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality Management, Event Management, or a related field required.
  • 5‑7+ years in a relevant leadership role, preferably in a high‑volume Sales environment. Exposure to sports, entertainment, tourism, events and/or high‑volume attractions a plus.
  • Aptitude for integrated marketing planning and execution, including management of multiple marketing channels, as well as agency partners, to meet objectives.
  • Knowledge of Los Angeles's local and regional markets, venue operations, and special events industries a plus.
  • Proficiency with data, research process, ticket sales patterns, and demographic trends.
  • Ability to manage a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders; thoughtfully developing and delivering sound recommendations to senior management.
  • Capable of thriving in a fast‑paced start‑up environment; balancing creativity and innovation with practical solutions.
  • Knowledge of domestic and international tour & travel/group sales.
  • Ability to work both traditional and non‑traditional hours (nights, weekends, holidays) as required.
