Goodfellow is looking for a part-time
Content & Social Producer
to help us document our productions, create behind-the-scenes content, and support our social and marketing presence.
This is an entry-level role or paid internship designed for someone early in their production, editing, or content career who wants hands-on experience inside a working video production company.
Goodfellow is a Nashville-based production company creating documentary-style films, branded content, corporate documentaries, and commercial work for clients across healthcare, education, manufacturing, technology, nonprofits, and other purpose-driven sectors. Our work is built around human stories, thoughtful production, and a polished but natural documentary approach.
We’re looking for someone who can help us capture the work happening behind the work. The travel, the crew, the setups, the interviews, the process, the problem-solving, and the small moments that show what it’s like to make films with Goodfellow.
What You’ll Do
In this role, you’ll help Goodfellow turn our ongoing productions and company activity into useful marketing content.
Responsibilities may include:
Capturing behind-the-scenes photo and video content on select Goodfellow shoots
Editing short-form videos for LinkedIn, Instagram, our website, and other marketing channels
Creating simple BTS reels, project recaps, and process-focused content
Helping organize and maintain a library of Goodfellow marketing assets
Pulling selects, frame grabs, and clips from existing footage
Assisting with social media captions, thumbnails, and content scheduling
Conducting short internal interviews with our team or crew when needed
Helping identify good content opportunities before, during, and after productions
Maintaining a thoughtful, polished, documentary-style tone in all Goodfellow content
Respecting client confidentiality, set etiquette, and approval processes
What We’re Looking For
This role could be a good fit for someone who is:
Early in their film, video, editing, marketing, or content creation career
Comfortable shooting video and basic stills
Able to edit short-form content quickly and tastefully
Interested in documentary, commercial, and branded content production
Organized, reliable, curious, and professional
Comfortable working quietly and respectfully on set
Excited to learn how real productions come together
Good at noticing candid moments, visual details, and story opportunities
Willing to take direction and contribute ideas
You do not need to be a highly experienced filmmaker. We’re more interested in someone with good taste, strong instincts, a good attitude, and a desire to learn.
Nice to Have
Experience with Premiere Pro or similar editing software
Experience creating vertical social videos
Basic color correction and audio skills
Photography experience
Familiarity with LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, or social-first content
Interest in marketing, storytelling, production, or brand-building
Schedule
This is a part-time role, approximately 10–15 hours per week, with occasional shoot days and potential travel. Schedule can be very flexible to accomodate existing work schedule or freelancing.
Some work can be done remotely, but candidates should be based in or near Nashville, TN, and available to join local productions when needed.
Travel opportunities will be available for select projects.
Compensation
This is a paid part-time role. Compensation is $20–$25/hour based on experience, with separate day rates for select shoot days. Approved travel expenses are covered.
Why This Role Could Be a Great Opportunity
This is a chance to get hands-on experience with a small but active production company working on real client projects.
You’ll get exposure to:
Documentary-style production
Commercial and branded content shoots
Interview setups
Camera, lighting, and audio workflows
Travel productions
Client-facing production environments
