Overview

The Creative Director, Customer & User Experiences is a senior creative leader responsible for shaping a unifying creative vision across brand, storytelling, and end-to-end experiences—including digital, physical, and customer journeys.


This role translates brand strategy into immersive, intuitive experiences, defining how audiences interact with and feel a brand across touchpoints. It requires strong conceptual thinking, digital fluency, and the ability to guide cross-functional teams in delivering cohesive, human-centered experiences that drive engagement and action.

Creative Director, Customer & User Experiences Requirements

  • 8+ years in creative, brand, or digital leadership roles within agency, consulting, or integrated environments
  • Proven experience leading brand systems and end-to-end experience design across CX, UX/UI, digital, events, and physical environments
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating conceptual excellence, systems thinking, and experience-driven solutions
  • Ability to translate brand strategy into narrative, interaction, and experiential frameworks
  • Experience directing and collaborating with UX/UI designers, strategists, writers, and engineering teams
  • High proficiency reviewing Figma files, prototypes, and interactive layouts
  • Deep understanding of user journeys, interaction design, motion language, and component systems
  • Strong grasp of responsive design, accessibility, and user clarity principles
  • Familiarity with AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Firefly) and a curiosity for emerging technology
  • Strong leadership presence, emotional intelligence, and ability to thrive in a collaborative, non-hierarchical environment
  • Proactive, idea-driven mindset; not purely executional or design-focused




Creative Director, Customer & User Experiences Duties

  • Define the creative north star, establishing vision, tone, and narrative direction across engagements
  • Translate brand ideas into experiential systems, shaping digital behaviors, interactions, and customer journeys
  • Lead concept development across web, brand, and experience-driven initiatives
  • Establish experience principles, guiding UX/UI teams without owning execution (e.g., wireframes or production design)
  • Direct emotional flow, interaction tone, and motion language across experiences
  • Review and refine wireframes, prototypes, and UX flows to ensure clarity, storytelling alignment, and usability
  • Ensure cohesion across content, design, and experience, delivering a unified and intuitive user experience
  • Partner cross-functionally with UX/UI, strategy, content, and engineering teams to align business logic, storytelling, and execution
  • Drive creative integrity from concept through build and launch, maintaining fidelity across development
  • Lead and mentor creative teams, elevating craft, innovation, and collaboration
  • Present and defend creative concepts to stakeholders, acting as a strategic idea partner in client engagements
  • Oversee quality assurance for experiential consistency, ensuring design-to-development alignment
  • Champion simple, intuitive, and impactful experiences that reflect brand identity and drive meaningful audience engagement
