Seeking a User Experience Creative Director to lead the creative vision at the intersection of brand storytelling , digital experience , and customer behavior . This role bridges brand strategy and experience design , translating core ideas into websites , customer journeys , content ecosystems , motion , and interactive systems .

You will define the creative north star , shape the emotional and narrative arc , and ensure cohesive execution across all touchpoints. This position is highly conceptual and strategic , requiring strong digital fluency , emotional intelligence , and an ability to guide—not execute—UX/UI disciplines . Candidates must also actively leverage AI tools to enhance ideation , workflow efficiency , and creative innovation .

User Experience Creative Director Requirements

  • 8+ years in brand , digital , or integrated creative leadership titled roles
  • Proven experience leading brand systems and end-to-end digital experiences
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating conceptual thinking , experience design direction , and storytelling excellence
  • Ability to define and direct the emotional flow of user journeys and interaction frameworks
  • Deep understanding of interaction design , motion language , responsive systems , and component-based design
  • Comfortable reviewing Figma files , wireframes , prototypes , and digital layouts
  • Strong grasp of UX principles , information architecture (IA) , and usability best practices (without hands‑on execution)
  • Experience partnering with UX/UI , engineering , and content teams to deliver scalable solutions
  • Clear understanding of technical feasibility vs. creative ambition
  • Active use of AI tools in creative development , concept generation , and process optimization
  • Exceptional presentation , storytelling , and client‑facing communication skills with executive‑level presence
  • Demonstrated leadership with high emotional intelligence , collaboration , and mentorship capabilities

User Experience Creative Director Duties

  • Define the creative vision and establish the north star across brand and experience engagements
  • Translate brand strategy into experiential systems , including visual identity , interaction models , and narrative frameworks
  • Lead concept development for web platforms , digital journeys , and emerging/agentic experiences
  • Shape tone , mood , interaction behavior , and overall experience personality
  • Establish experience principles guiding UX/UI teams , ensuring alignment with brand expression and storytelling
  • Direct motion design , micro‑interactions , and transition systems to enhance engagement
  • Review and refine wireframes and prototypes to ensure clarity , usability , and narrative cohesion
  • Partner cross‑functionally with UX/UI leads , strategists , writers , and engineering to align content , design , and technical execution
  • Collaborate with producers on planning, scoping, and delivery of complex digital initiatives
  • Maintain creative integrity through development , handoff , and launch , ensuring fidelity to vision
  • Lead client presentations , articulating ideas with clarity, confidence, and persuasion
  • Mentor and elevate design teams , fostering a culture of craft , rigor , and innovation
  • Champion intuitive , accessible , and brand‑expressive experiences across all outputs
  • Guide QA and final reviews to ensure experience quality , consistency , and performance
