Global Life Science Hub is supporting a rapidly growing, commercially focused biotech within ophthalmology and vision care, backed by an experienced leadership team, strong financial support, and a patient-focused pipeline addressing significant unmet needs in eye health.

As part of a major U.S. growth phase, the company is seeking an Area Sales Director to build and lead a high-performing West Coast field team, driving regional strategy, customer engagement, and commercial execution across a multi-state territory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing specialty sales team across the region
  • Drive regional commercial strategy, execution, and account engagement with Eye Care Professionals
  • Coach and develop sales talent through regular field engagement and performance management
  • Partner cross-functionally with internal stakeholders across sales, marketing, and operations
  • Utilise data and market insights to identify opportunities and maximise regional performance
  • Foster a high-accountability, performance-driven culture within a fast-paced commercial environment

Qualifications & Experience

  • 6+ years of documented sales success within pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, or related healthcare markets
  • Previous leadership experience managing high-performing commercial teams
  • Ophthalmology, eye-care, contact lens, or specialty launch experience preferred
  • Proven ability to operate effectively within fast-paced or high-growth environments
  • Strong coaching, communication, and strategic territory management capabilitiesBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
