Overview
Our client, a leading independent placement agent focused on private markets fundraising, is seeking to hire a Director to join its Project Management team in New York.
This is a senior execution role supporting the firm’s fundraising mandates across private equity, infrastructure, private credit and real estate.
Responsibilities
- Lead project management workstreams across multiple fundraising mandates simultaneously
- Coordinate end-to-end execution of fundraising processes, timelines, and deliverables
- Manage the preparation and review of marketing materials including PPMs, pitch decks, DDQs, data rooms, and investor communications
- Act as a key liaison between GP clients, internal distribution teams, and external service providers
- Oversee due diligence workflows and investor information requests throughout active fundraising processes
- Monitor fundraising progress and maintain detailed tracking/reporting across mandates
- Support strategic planning and execution around investor targeting and engagement processes
- Mentor and support junior project management team members where appropriate
Qualifications
- Prior experience within a placement agent is essential
- 8–15 years of relevant experience in project management, fundraising support, investor relations, or capital formation within private markets
- Strong understanding of private equity and alternative investment fundraising processes
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects under tight deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational and execution capabilities
- Experience interacting directly with institutional investors and GP clients
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced qualifications are advantageous
