Job Title: Sales Representative
Location: Waukesha, WI
Part I - Position Overview
The primary scope of this role is to grow sales by developing new and current customer relationships. The position requires measurable sales activity connected to both business development and account management functions.
Business development duties include: Researching potential clients, cold calling/participating in call blocks, creating sales strategy, qualifying sales opportunities, developing proposals, conducting sales presentations, providing plant tours, and reporting results.
Account management duties include: Regular customer contact via phone/site visits, supporting existing needs, identifying additional sales opportunities, general problem solving, and acting as a primary contact for all customer needs.
An ideal candidate will have the ability to build relationships, bring creative solutions, and treat all employees as partners.
Travel - 35% throughout the Midwest.
Part II - Job Functions
- Participation in quoting process, and regular follow up with customers to effectively deliver solutions for customer application requirements.
- Working with company guidelines, negotiating customer orders.
- Act as a customer contact for all Castalloy related issues/activities.
- Work in partnership with independent sales representatives to support market development, and training
- Participate in technical conferences, sales training, trade shows and other forums in support of the Castalloy product line.
- Research market trends and competitors, develops/articulates findings to recommend strategies that will maximize company revenue and profitability.
- Prepare/submit sales reports and other required information regularly.
- Collaborate with all departments, including front office and shop floor to ensure the highest level of excellence in customer experience.
Part III - Qualifications and Experience
- Associate or bachelors degree in marketing, sales, business administration or related
- 3- 5 years of experience in sales for an industrial organization, metal casting or related is a plus
- Valid Drivers license and willingness to travel.
- Familiarity with Casting/Foundries & related business practices
- Basic understanding of technical documentation.
- Local Travel required, and up to 35% travel in throughout the Midwest
- Must understand basic financial concepts as they relate to pricing, discounts, profitability, and cost.
