Responsibilities
POSITION OVERVIEW

The Vice President Creative leads creative and content strategy across Express and Bonobos, shaping how both brands show up visually, editorially, and experientially across every customer touchpoint. This role is critical to building brand heat, cultural relevance, and performance at scale—while honoring the unique DNA of each brand. The VP Creative will set and champion the creative vision across both brands and lead a world-class, multidisciplinary creative organization. This leader will oversee omnichannel storytelling across art direction, design, styling, photography, video, digital, social, brand voice, and copy—ensuring creative excellence that inspires, connects, and converts. This role partners closely with marketing, merchandising, e-commerce, stores, and digital teams to deliver modern, innovative, and performance-driven creative—while reinforcing each brand’s purpose and positioning.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Creative Vision & Leadership

Define and champion the creative and content vision for Express and Bonobos, ensuring clarity, differentiation, and consistency across all customer touchpoints.

Lead and inspire teams across art direction, styling, photography, video, digital creative, social content, graphic design, copy, and brand voice.

Build a culture of innovation, collaboration, and creative excellence across a multi-brand environment.

Omnichannel Brand Expression

Oversee integrated creative campaigns across brand marketing, retail, e-commerce, digital, social, and experiential channels for both brands.

Ensure each brand’s identity, voice, and visual standards are consistently expressed while allowing for distinct creative POVs.

Balance aspirational brand-building with performance-driving creative to deliver measurable business impact.

Content Strategy & Execution

Drive a content-first approach that fuels storytelling, engagement, and conversion across platforms.

Lead development of photo, video, and social-first assets optimized for digital and emerging channels.

Set and uphold styling direction and visual standards across campaigns and ongoing content.

Cross-Functional Partnership

Partner with Marketing, Merchandising, E-Commerce, and Store Experience teams to align creative output with business priorities across both brands.

Collaborate with external agencies, production partners, and creative talent to elevate execution.

Present creative strategies, campaigns, and results to senior leadership with clarity and influence.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

15+ years of progressive creative leadership experience in fashion, retail, lifestyle, or related industries.

Exceptional aesthetic sensibility and taste level, with deep expertise in fashion and visual storytelling.

Proven track record of delivering transformative, omnichannel creative that drives brand relevance and business growth.

Strong expertise across art direction, photography, video, styling, digital, social media, copy, and brand voice.

Experience leading large, multidisciplinary teams and building inclusive, collaborative creative cultures.

Ability to balance brand-building with performance-driven creative; data-informed yet highly imaginative.

Exceptional leadership, presentation, and communication skills.
