About the Role

Wintrust is hiring a sharp and experienced financial services B2C Copywriter to bring our brand to life across a variety of advertising and marketing channels. Candidates should persuade our audiences through bold writing, be strategic thinkers, and collaborate to solve creative challenges.
Responsibilities

Work closely with marketers, designers, and subject matter experts to concept high‑impact B2C marketing ideas that are successful across multiple lines of business and diverse media outlets.
Write compelling, brand‑aligned copy that strengthens visibility, builds trust, spurs action, and supports enterprise marketing initiatives, including sharp headlines, pithy ad copy, succinct scripts, gripping digital copy, and informational content.
Comprehend strategic briefs and develop work that is on brand and strategy.
Distill and transform complex information into concise, clear, persuasive copy.
Review and edit your copy and others’ for accuracy and consistency with brand guidelines and maintain compliance and brand standards on all marketing materials.
Manage multiple projects and deadlines, adapt to feedback for high‑quality output, and keep projects on track using the project‑management system.
Prepare and present work to marketing leadership for approval and participate in brainstorming and strategic planning sessions.
Use campaign data and insights to develop targeted solutions and become an expert in Wintrust products, banker/LO enablement, and customer needs across multiple lines of business.
Innovate creative work by identifying and executing on consumer financial behavior trends and marketing strategies.
Work onsite in Rosemont, Illinois.
Qualifications

4–6 years of proven experience as a B2C copywriter with a focus on financial services or another regulated industry (agency or in‑house experience preferred).
Diverse portfolio of work across advertising mediums and marketing channels.
Proactive and creative problem‑solver with an understanding of brand strategy, voice, and tone.
Outstanding verbal and written communication, time‑management, organizational, and research skills.
Collaborative spirit, calm under pressure, takes feedback and incorporates it, and meets deadlines in a fast‑paced, ever‑evolving environment.
Eye for proofreading and familiarity with AP Style or similar editorial standards; ability to quickly learn and apply an in‑house style guide.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, project‑management platforms (e.g., Workfront), and various marketing and design programs.

Estimated salary range: $60,000 – $80,000, plus eligibility to earn an annual bonus.
