Basic Purpose
Develop, maintain and service travel agency business relationships within the retail sales channel for the assigned territory to achieve established sales goals. Participate in the growth of travel agency revenues by implementing local marketing and promotional programs, conducting ongoing travel advisor trainings, and searching for new business opportunities for new‑to‑brand agencies. Work closely with leadership to improve agency production within the assigned territory. Within corporate guidelines, represent the company as the brand ambassador as needed to create a positive perception and establish travel agency partnerships using a variety of strategies and innovative methods.

Position Responsibilities

Maximize revenue and occupancy production in the designated accounts within the territory.

Source new revenue opportunities and methods within assigned accounts, including groups, FIT and New to Brand sales, to achieve established sales goals.

Retain and manage business relationships for each travel agency and develop a personalized approach to help maximize agencies' profits. Generate ideas and strategies to actively participate in travel agency growth.

Assist with the development and implementation of an annual territory sales plan to ensure achievement of assigned goals.

Review sales plan, accounts, promotional efforts and ROI quarterly with VP, Retail Sales to determine success; make adjustments to plan accordingly.

Create and execute promotional programs; provide promotional materials for agency partners.

Fully own the account relationship by facilitating their growth and resolving any challenges that arise.

Complete weekly sales activity report in Salesforce, providing insightful competitive information for management.

Conduct seminars, familiarization cruises, cruise events, trade and consumer shows, etc., as needed.

Remain current on corporate information, policies, procedures, sales and marketing programs.

Perform other job‑related functions as assigned.

Education
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field of study; or any equivalent combination of relevant background and/or sales experience.

Experience
Minimum 3 years of sales experience, preferably in the travel industry.

Knowledge & Skills
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including intermediate skills with Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Teams and OneNote. Knowledge of or ability with Salesforce.com, or related CRM (Customer Relationship Management) and e‑commerce channels. Working knowledge of Zoom, GoToMeeting, WebEx, or other related virtual platforms. Ability to build personal credibility through solid product knowledge, services, procedures, consistent follow‑through and problem‑solving skills. Proven ability to implement contracts using superior negotiation and presentation skills. Creative abilities to develop a personal brand for selling unique cruise vacations and building relationships within assigned territories. Ability to adapt to a quickly changing sales environment; ability to shift priorities per business and/or territory demands. Planning skills for developing a sales strategy for assigned territory. Interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team‑based environment. Effective time management skills to work independently and meet sales goals. Customer‑centric skills to foster and maintain business relationships and drive results. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to travel 25% of your time within field sales territory, hold a valid state driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record. Ability to work evenings and/or weekends. Ability to bend and lift up to 30 lbs., to pack and transport marketing collateral to travel agents, with reasonable accommodation. Ability to stand for long periods of time for presentations and provide walking tours for clients onboard vessels, with reasonable accommodation. Ability to work evenings and/or weekends.
