Music Resource Coordinator
Oversee the growth and strategy of The Salvation Army pertaining to music lessons within the Southern California Division. Implementing and monitoring programs for the purpose of musical growth and evangelical outreach. Focus on building instrument lessons, local ensembles, and music literacy around the division.
Ability to walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel and twist on an intermittent or sometimes continuous basis. Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, and reach overhead. Ability to operate computer, copier and telephone. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
Bachelor's degree or 4 years equivalent work experience. Demonstrated excellence as a music leader. Music Teaching Experience. Commitment to the mission, vision, and worship philosophy of The Salvation Army. Valid CA Driver's License. Uniformed Salvationist required.
Skilled musician specializing in Brass, Vocal, or percussion with proficiency in other instruments. Skilled in organization, administration, and interpersonal relationships. Familiar with audio-visual equipment for use as needed. Skilled with video editing software. Willingness to travel. Ability to work with individuals of all ages. Ability to use MS Office. Detail oriented. Great communication skills.
