Seasonal Role Overview

This is a Seasonal role; employment dates will align with Busch Gardens Tampa's Howl‑O‑Scream event.
Compensation

Compensation Rate: $17/hour.
Basic Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Must be able to obtain a valid driver’s license with proof of insurance and meet SEA driving guidelines.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule/hours based on business needs, including opening, mid‑, and closing shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Must select Seasonal status; active part‑time employees should select Part‑Time on the next screen.
Qualifications

College degree (preferred) in theater or a related field, or equivalent experience in theater or entertainment related discipline.
Minimum 2 years practical Stage Management experience or a similar combination of management or leadership experience.
Knowledge of entertainment events and logistics, including basic audio systems, basic theatrical lighting, theming, signage, and decor.
Proficiency with MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Excellent organizational, problem‑solving, and planning skills with the ability to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
Ability to work under pressure and direct personnel under ambiguous or uncertain stressful conditions.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; positive interaction with guests, entertainers, leadership, technicians, outside contractors, entertainment, park staff, and personnel from other departments or corporate teams.
Ability to recognize behavioral issues within the team and address them appropriately and timely.
Understanding and enforcement of proper safety protocols and safety systems, ability to inspect and document safety‑sensitive equipment or procedures, and enforce consistent use of personal protective equipment.
Demonstrate strong communication skills, respect for others, professionalism, positive attitude, teamwork, and guest service skills.
Ability to provide technical support and service for events or other departmental needs.
Ability to lift, push, pull and/or carry up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
Physical ability to travel body to height or climb/ascend heights when needed.
Physical Requirements

Work indoors and outdoors in varying Florida weather, including extreme heat.
Exposure to fumes, dust, odors, cold/heat temperature extremes.
Participation in environments with atmospheric effects such as fog, smoke, haze, mist, bubble, snow, scents; lighting effects such as strobe lights, bright, dark, elevated, cramped conditions.
Perform physical activities: kneeling, squatting, bending floor‑to‑waist/waist‑to‑overhead, reaching overhead, simple grasp and fine hand manipulation tasks.
Perform cleaning duties, including use of cleaning chemicals.
Responsibilities

Supervision and implementation of daily operation of Consumer Events festivals and shows, including scheduling and following up on task assignments for cast and crew.
Lead rehearsals and other training for assigned work groups and teams as needed.
Mentor staff to maintain successful team‑oriented productions.
Provide overall logistical support for the entire Entertainment Department and warehouse when needed.
Develop, update, and follow SOPs, attendance/performance tracking, daily reports, supply requests, and other documentation required for entertainment operations.
Ensure safety of all team members, including required safety training and proper PPE usage.
Supervise areas including events cast, technicians, costume/dresser staff, daily hours reporting, ambassador coaching, overtime requests, deviation/sign‑in sheets, theatrical and technical systems, theater safety, facility maintenance and cleanliness, monitoring show quality, scheduling and participating in or running rehearsals, daily meetings and information dissemination, team member development, record keeping, inventory & procurement of equipment, materials and supplies.
Maintain quality standards throughout all assigned tasks, special events and show positions.
Maintain artistic and technical integrity of the show/event.
Know all positions necessary for show operation.
Act as a front‑line management representative and liaison with Production, Entertainment Technical, and Operational Entertainment Management Staff.
Coordinate and implement special events and shows in other venues as needed.
Assist with Entertainment activities and special events in other facilities outside of the park as needed.
Submit daily/weekly reports to managers detailing all show and event related activities and other pertinent information.
Cover for other supervisors/technicians/other departments as needed on their days off, vacations, absences.
Work in a team environment and interact with guests and ambassadors in a professional manner.
Attend all required training, rehearsals, event days, and additional workdays unless otherwise indicated.
Perform other duties as assigned.
