About The Burlington Performing Arts Centre (BPAC)
The Burlington Performing Arts Centre is a not-for-profit, charitable organization and a vibrant presenter, cultural developer, educator and community hub. BPAC presents a diverse season of professional entertainment, featuring over 70 performances each year across a wide range of genres, alongside education programs, outreach initiatives and community-based events.

In addition to its presenting activity, BPAC serves as an active rental facility, working with local community groups, promoters, schools and corporate clients. Our Gold LEED Certified venue features a 720-seat Main Theatre, a 165-seat Community Studio Theatre, a bright and welcoming lobby, and an outdoor plaza that supports public programming and gathering.

POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Director of Programming & Marketing, and working in close collaboration with the Executive Director and Executive Assistant & Secretary to the Board, the Supervisor of Development & Marketing plays a key role in advancing BPAC’s marketing, sponsorship, membership and stakeholder engagement efforts.

This is a highly collaborative, hands‑on role responsible for the coordination and execution of development and partnership initiatives, and for supporting the alignment of marketing activity with revenue generation and broader organizational strategic priorities.

The role contributes to audience development, community engagement and placemaking efforts by ensuring that marketing and partnership activity supports not only ticket sales, but also BPAC’s position as a leading cultural hub and gathering place within the community.

Working closely with senior leadership, the Supervisor independently manages sponsor and partner relationships, contributes to the development of campaigns and funding opportunities, and helps guide marketing priorities in collaboration with the Engagement & Communications Coordinator.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Development, Sponsorship & Partnerships

Support and advance BPAC’s sponsorship, partnership and fundraising initiatives in alignment with organizational priorities.

Identify, research and pursue prospective sponsors, advertisers and community partners, and contribute to the development of proposals, agreements and partnership materials.

Build and steward relationships with sponsors and partners, serving as a key point of contact and identifying opportunities to strengthen engagement and increase support over time.

Coordinate and execute sponsor benefit fulfillment across marketing, ticketing, events and on‑site recognition, ensuring all commitments are delivered accurately and on time.

Support donor and sponsor communications, including proposals, reports, updates and stewardship materials.

Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records of development activity using CRM systems (Keela, TixHub), ensuring strong data integrity and reporting readiness.

Contribute to identifying and supporting foundation, grant and funding opportunities aligned with BPAC’s programming, education and community engagement initiatives.

Support the coordination of grant and foundation applications, including research, content development, data gathering and submission logistics, and assist with reporting requirements in collaboration with internal teams.

Support partnership opportunities that enhance BPAC’s role as a community gathering place and cultural destination.

Marketing Strategy Alignment & Campaign Coordination

Work closely with the Director of Programming & Marketing to support the planning and rollout of marketing campaigns tied to programming, partnerships and organizational priorities.

Collaborate with the Engagement & Communications Coordinator to guide campaign priorities, ensuring alignment with sponsorship commitments, revenue goals and broader organizational objectives.

Ensure sponsor and partner recognition is accurately and consistently integrated across all marketing and communications platforms.

Contribute to campaign planning, timelines and content direction, supporting coordination of deliverables across teams.

Coordinate and support relationships with media partners and vendors, including in‑kind and paid opportunities, ensuring alignment with campaign priorities and sponsorship commitments.

Review and provide input on communications materials to ensure alignment with BPAC’s brand, voice and partnership commitments.

Membership & Stakeholder Engagement

Support the planning and delivery of BPAC’s membership and donor engagement initiatives.

Coordinate communications, benefit fulfillment and recognition for members, donors and sponsors.

Assist in identifying opportunities to grow and retain membership and deepen engagement with supporters.

Liaise with the Box Office to ensure accurate execution of member benefits and communications.

Events & Community Engagement

Coordinate and support sponsor, donor and member events, including invitations, guest lists, logistics and on‑site execution.

Support the delivery of cultivation and stewardship events that enhance partner and donor relationships.

Represent BPAC at events, community activations and partner engagements as required.

Coordination & Internal Alignment

Coordinate development and marketing workflows, ensuring timelines, deliverables and priorities are aligned across departments.

Act as a key point of contact between Programming, Marketing, Box Office and Operations teams for sponsorship and marketing initiatives.

Work closely with the Executive Director, Director of Programming & Marketing, Executive Assistant, and Engagement & Communications Coordinator to ensure alignment on priorities, tracking and follow‑up.

Assist in preparing reports, updates and materials for leadership and Board reporting as required.
