Responsibilities

Basic accounts receivable/account payable duties, follow‑up on client monies/outstanding invoices, data entry, billing.
Create and manage customized Excel spreadsheets for client needs and requests.
Review contracts and booking reports to ensure accurate information is inputted into the accounting system.
Investigate held checks or wires with client team to submit missing bookings.
Assist agents and assistants with coordinating booking report submission questions.
Perform other accounting tasks as requested by Supervisors and management.
Escalate collection of missing booking reports to Trust Accounting Supervisor if no response is received within the defined timeframe.
Maintain communication with agents, assistants, managers, attorneys, studio contacts, and the trust department.
Follow‑up on open items where an agent is no longer at CAA but resolution is needed.
Perform month‑end close tasks for accounts receivable—book revenue according to revenue‑recognition policies and update closing schedules.
Maintain monthly analysis of all general ledger accounts relating to commissions and accounts receivable.
Manage monthly reconciliation of other A/R‑related accounts (e.g., unapplied cash, unclaimed credits, clearing, accrual, bad debt).
Perform accurate monthly billing adjustments and handle billing questions and discrepancies.
Support the accounts‑receivable budget process by providing information, identifying variances, and implementing corrective actions.
Conduct monthly training for new agent assistants on trust accounting functions and how to submit bookings.
Identify and collect on past‑due balances while maintaining positive relationships with customers/clients.
Support special projects, company initiatives, and/or process‑improvement initiatives.
Collect, upload profit statements, and update booking/invoicing supplier grids.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferred.
3+ years of finance and accounting experience.
Experience in the entertainment industry preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work well with a team and represent the company’s culture.
Team player with high energy and enthusiasm.
Demonstrated ability to multitask and manage conflicting priorities.
Ability to succeed in a fast‑paced, highly demanding, high‑volume, dynamic corporate environment.
Unimpeachable integrity and ability to maintain confidential information.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
10‑key keyboarding by touch.
Typing speed of 45 words per minute.
Strong organizational, critical‑thinking, and problem‑solving skills.
Proactive initiative and willingness to take on additional work.
Location

This role will be hybrid, based in Los Angeles.
Compensation & Benefits

The base hourly rate for this position is in the range of $25.00 - $27.00. The position is also eligible for benefits and a discretionary bonus. Wages may vary based on experience, time in role, business sector, and geographic location, among other criteria.
