Account Executive – Client Solutions (Cox Media)

Location: Springdale, AR or Fort Smith, AR. Hybrid – in‑office and remote flexibility. Travel: 25%.
Job Description

Cox Media, the advertising sales arm of Cox Communications, delivers strategic multichannel solutions that help businesses and agencies connect with the right audience at the right time, on the appropriate platforms. This role is an individual contributor media consultant focusing on driving revenue growth through client relationship management and new business development.
Compensation

Base salary: $29,300.00 – $43,900.00. Annual incentive/commission target: $-29,300.00 – $-43,900.00.

What You’ll Do

Identify and secure new business opportunities, partnering with existing clients to optimize digital advertising strategies.
Deepen relationships with clients through proactive outreach and upselling to drive incremental revenue.
Sell customized advertising solutions across TV, digital video, streaming, display, social media, and paid search.
Collaborate on budgeting and forecasting to support strategic planning and sustained revenue growth.
Educate clients on data‑driven strategies to elevate brand and deliver measurable outcomes.
Serve as trusted advisor guiding clients in digital and cross‑platform campaigns.
Create and deliver compelling presentations and proposals.
Develop and build an expansive book of business through strategic prospecting, including cold calling, door‑to‑door outreach, and lead generation.
Collaborate with internal teams—creative, research, digital—to deliver seamless campaign execution and ensure client satisfaction.
Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client communications in CRM systems.
Represent Cox Media with energy and excellence in office and field settings.
Stay informed on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.
Skills and Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 2 years of experience in a related field (equivalents: master’s degree with up to 2 years of experience, or 6 years of experience without a degree).
Proven success in sales or business development, including new opportunity identification, client relationship building, and exceeding sales goals.
Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with the ability to close deals.
Ability to use data to develop and sell effective media strategies.
Capability to present complex solutions clearly.
Thrives in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment while maintaining strong client relationships.
Valid driver’s license with good driving record and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications

Advertising or media experience is helpful but not required.
Experience prospecting new business and building client relationships through consultative, solutions‑oriented selling.
Ability to understand client needs, develop tailored solutions, and influence decision‑makers.
Experience selling complex or customizable solutions, with willingness to learn new products, tools, and technologies.
Strong curiosity, adaptability, and comfort in a fast‑changing, performance‑driven environment.
Comfort working in a hybrid environment with at least three in‑office collaboration days per week.
Industry certifications and/or relevant sales certifications are a plus.
