Job Description
The Director, Performance Media oversees the strategic development and execution of performance media campaigns across a variety of channels. The Associate Director owns planning and buying activities for complex or large spend campaigns and is responsible for generating strategic insights while driving learnings across the full suite of the client’s activities. They serve as a point of contact for clients and own the development of decks, status documentation, and client meetings.
Responsibilities
Design and execute strategies for leveraging paid media across performance platforms (search, social, programmatic) to deliver against brand objectives
Direct and manage the daily workflow of campaigns including proposal development, campaign activation and maintenance, and post-buy recaps; monitor and report on campaign performance
Develop and maintain quality control procedures; review client deliverables ensuring high quality and accuracy
Understand and effectively communicate value proposition, technology, and processes as related to the growth of current and prospective agency accounts
Adopt established account management standards and program management best practices
Assist in the development and documentation of best practices for improving communication and collaboration within the team
Participate in regular knowledge sharing sessions to share and learn new strategies for optimizing and enhancing campaign performance
Foster strong relationships with internal teams and client groups
Embrace and encourage a culture based on teamwork, collaboration, and curiosity
Qualifications
7+ years of media buying experience across paid social, search, digital, and programmatic
3+ years of experience managing a team and direct reports
Experience in performance platforms such as The Trade Desk, DV360, TikTok, Facebook, and Twitter
Strong leadership skills and professionalism; comfortable presenting ideas to senior leaders
Possess strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret campaign performance data and provide insights and optimization recommendations
Understanding of traditional and interactive media planning elements
Resourceful, curious, and motivated individual with an ability to work independently as well as in a team setting
Strong analytics, organizational, communication, and project management skills
Previous client facing experience with the ability to provide strategic insight and effective partnership with leaders
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with intermediate to advanced understanding of Excel
Additional Information
Compensation Range: $121,315 - $194,220 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
