Tech, Communications & Media Associate — DC

We represent broadband and cable providers; programming networks; licensed and unlicensed wireless service providers; cable, wireless and Wi-Fi trade associations; satellite operators and others in a broad range of regulatory, legislative and litigation matters before the FCC, Congress, Executive Branch agencies, and federal and state courts, as well as in domestic and international business transactions.
Responsibilities
We are seeking an associate to join our Technology, Communications and Media practice in Washington, DC. Responsibilities will include:
Researching and drafting FCC pleadings and related filings
Drafting court motions, briefs and other pleadings
Preparing for depositions and managing the discovery process
Strategizing on how to help clients reach their regulatory and legislative goals
Advising on regulatory compliance issues
Assisting with due diligence for transactions
Collaboration with team members is an important component of any role at Mintz. Therefore, the firm encourages working from the office approximately 60% of the time in accordance with the firm's published guidelines.
Qualifications
Graduated with a JD or LLM from an ABA-accredited law school
Must be admitted or eligible for admission in the District of Columbia
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Professionalism in working and engaging with clients and colleagues
Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and balance competing responsibilities
Ability to stay organized and exercise extreme attention to detail
Ability to collaborate and work effectively in team settings

The salary range for this position is $260,000 to $365,000. This position is bonus eligible.
