JOB OVERVIEW
Provide Technical Editor support services as part of general support services for The Department of Energy (DOE) Hanford Site Tank Farms Project (TF).
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
The Department of Energy (DOE) Hanford Site requires general support services for the Tank Farms Project (TF). Tank Farm (TF) requires one (1) full-time equivalent (FTE) general support contractor (1920 labor hours) to provide support in the following areas:
Support the Tank Farms (TF) management and staff, with technical editing expertise. The work scope includes reviewing, analyzing, editing, and making recommendations to technical documents, letters, and digital technology presentations as needed to deliver high-quality products.
Conduct daily tasks required to perform the ongoing coordination and the development and production of project documents, procedures, plans, and other communications deliverables necessary for ongoing support to Tank Farms (TF) management, policy, and reporting requirements.
Assist with the development and maintenance of multiple Tank Farms (TF) management planning documents, processes, procedures, presentations, and communication products using specialized knowledge.
Assist Federal staff in the creation and maintenance of documentation, and provide technical document editing, writing, research, and production.
Work products shall be completed in a timely manner and be thorough, accurate, appropriately documented, and comply with established criteria. Technical Editor - Hanford Tank Farm Project shall ensure that duties are performed in a competent and professional manner. Technical Editor - Hanford Tank Farm Project employee shall submit a weekly report to the technical monitor addressing work accomplished, and deliverable progress.
Qualifications
Desired Qualifications For A GSSC Technical Editor - Hanford Tank Farm Project (PR0164) | Full-Time [W-2] Candidates:
The Technical Editor - Hanford Tank Farm Project - GSSC shall have consecutive employment in a position with comparable responsibilities within the past five (5) years, Must be able to use a computer to communicate via email; and proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and related tools and technology required for the position.
Skills / Abilities / Education / Experience Requirements / Qualifications
Bachelor's degree. Six (6) years of experience may be substituted for BS/BA degree.
Two (2) years of experience in a related field.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Demonstrated skill in writing and reviewing technical work products.
Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
Provide recommendations to enhance technical documents and digital media.
Familiarity with translating information requests into program documentation and communication products.
Experience with configuration management, writing and editing of decision documents, assessment reports, project management documentation, and stakeholder outreach products.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of the Hanford site (preferred).
Compliance with site-specific safety and security requirements, including badging and office protocols.
Identification of any conflicts, potential conflicts, or perceived conflicts of interest with any Hanford Site contractors.
U.S. Citizenship
Tank Farms Project Technical Editor
Responsibility for editing technical documents and reports within the Analytical Laboratory Management Task Force at the Hanford site.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, & Adobe)

TRAVEL: Occasional travel may be required to attend meetings, events, site visits, or other training requirements. Travel is coordinated with the technical point of contact and approved in writing by the Contracting Officer in advance, is allowed, in accordance with Federal Travel Regulations.
