The Talent & Culture Manager is a strategic partner within Wild Dunes Resort’s Human Resources team, responsible for leading talent acquisition, workforce planning, and staffing strategies that support both year-round and seasonal business demands. This role ensures the resort attracts, hires, and retains top talent while delivering an exceptional candidate, hiring manager, and employee experience. This is not a Remote position.
This position combines hands‑on recruiting leadership with forward‑thinking workforce planning, relationship building, and process innovation. The ideal candidate is highly collaborative, solutions‑oriented, and skilled at developing creative staffing strategies and talent pipelines in a dynamic, hospitality‑driven environment, while championing Wild Dunes Resort’s culture through impactful onboarding initiatives and service‑focused training.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute a
comprehensive annual staffing plan
aligned with business goals, seasonality, and occupancy forecasts
Conduct
annual and ongoing staffing needs assessments
in partnership with Department Leaders
Design and implement
seasonal staffing strategies , including high‑volume hiring plans to support peak periods
Responsibility of Off‑site Housing for applicable Seasonal Staff.
Monitor workforce trends and develop proactive solutions to ensure talent readiness
Build and maintain strong relationships with
internal leaders, candidates, and external partners
Establish and manage partnerships with the
Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB)
and workforce programs such as
ICEP, Trident Technical College,
and International Partners for recruitment of J1, F1 and H2B work cultural exchange programs.
Create and implement
innovative sourcing strategies and new staffing resources
to attract diverse, qualified candidates
Represent the resort at job fairs, community events, and workforce development initiatives
Recruitment & Candidate Experience
Lead
full‑cycle recruitment efforts
to ensure timely filling of all open roles
Coordinate interview scheduling and ensure a
seamless, high‑quality candidate experience
Support high‑volume and seasonal recruiting needs, stepping in as needed to meet hiring demands
Drive improvements that enhance hiring manager satisfaction and candidate engagement
Selection & Hiring Operations
Ensure effective collaboration with hiring managers to support selection decisions
Maintain strong communication throughout the hiring process
Exercise sound judgment and
escalate issues appropriately when needed
Onboarding & Pre‑Employment Processes
Oversee
new hire onboarding , including paperwork, HR systems entry, orientation coordination, and I‑9 compliance
Initiate and support
immigration and housing processes
as needed
Ensure a smooth transition from candidate to employee with a strong first‑day experience
Process Improvement & Innovation
Identify opportunities to
enhance recruiting processes, tools, and systems
Utilize data and insights to improve
time‑to‑fill and overall hiring efficiency
Generate and implement
new ideas and creative staffing solutions
to strengthen talent pipelines
Lead talent acquisition projects focused on continuous improvement and operational excellence
Reporting, Metrics & Operations
Maintain Applicant Tracking System (ATS) data integrity and reporting
Track and improve key metrics, including
time‑to‑fill, quality of hire, and seasonal staffing effectiveness
Manage recruiting expenses and assist with budget reconciliation
Ensure compliance with all employment laws, regulations, and company policies
Qualifications
Required Experience
2‑3 years of progressive experience in Talent Acquisition, Human Resources, or Resort Management, preferably in a fast‑paced or hospitality environment
Proven success in
workforce planning, high‑volume, and seasonal staffing
Strong ability to
build relationships and influence stakeholders
at all organizational levels
Demonstrated ability to generate innovative staffing solutions and process improvements
Exceptional organizational, project management, and problem‑solving skills
Ability to operate with urgency, adaptability, and sound decision‑making

Preferred Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, or related field
HR certification (PHR, SHRM‑CP/SCP, AIRS, or similar), a plus, or desire to work towards the certification
Experience with workforce development programs, visa programs, or hospitality staffing initiatives is a plus
