Role and Responsibilities

Enhance Sofar's presence in your community by actively promoting events and selling tickets through innovative marketing strategies.

Develop a strategic vision for your city that includes the number of events, target neighborhoods, and themes for shows.

Curate and book a diverse range of top-tier artists and unique venues to ensure high-quality experiences.

Oversee the delivery of exceptional events, ensuring a hospitable atmosphere and high standards of performance.

Be responsible for the financial success of events by managing budgets and monitoring expenses.

Forge partnerships with local businesses to secure sponsorships and private event opportunities.

Identify and collaborate with organizations to reach broader audiences and promote shows.

Work with local leaders to create diverse experiences that elevate community engagement and brand visibility.

Support the Global Communities and Business Partnerships teams by providing high-quality events for partnership opportunities.

Who You Are

You are well-connected within your local arts and culture scene, playing an active role in community-building efforts.

You have 3-5 years of experience in live event production, curation, and promotion.

You have a background in selling event sponsorships or marketing activations, especially in the live event industry.

You are skilled at pitching ideas and securing sponsorship deals.

You possess a keen understanding of the unique characteristics of your city's neighborhoods and social dynamics.

You excel at building connections with organizations and businesses that add strategic value to your events.

You know how to cultivate strategic alliances that boost ticket sales and engagement.

You take pride in your work, ensuring a professional experience for artists, venues, partners, and attendees.

You manage your time effectively and communicate clearly.

You are independent yet value being connected to a larger organizational network.

Compensation
This role is commission-based, where income ranges between $100 - $500+ per event, depending on ticket sales and performance. Monthly earnings can vary from $100 to $5,000, allowing you the flexibility to shape your earning potential based on your events.

Additional Details
You will be collaborating with other local Producers, particularly in larger cities. This role combines autonomy with global support, drawing on resources and training provided by the Sofar team.
