Total Compensation:
$28.00 per hour
Type of Employment:
40 hours per week.
Period of Performance:
01 August 2026 – 31 July 2027 (with Option to extend)

Up to 80 hours per year, occurring on day one.

Work Location
Work will be accomplished primarily at the Academic Development Branch, Education Delivery Division, Department of Education of the United States Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine (USAFSAM) located at 2510 5th St., Building 840, Area B, Wright‑Patterson AFB, OH 45433-7913.
Working Hours
Work will be scheduled normally from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday; however, there may be times when employees are required to work after duty hours or on weekends in support of specific tasking. Although the schedule may have to be flexible, it will not exceed 40 hours per week. Temporary alternate work locations may be assigned.
Mandatory Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electronic Media, Video Broadcast, or a related field, and/or at least 5 years of Audio‑Visual Technology experience.
Broadcast production experience with progressive responsibility in a professional video editing/production environment, demonstrating competency in all areas of video production desired.
Proficient with Adobe programs, including Premiere Pro, Audition, Photoshop, After Effects, Illustrator, and Captivate; proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; must have the ability to manage projects independently and as part of a team.
Must have the ability to work through problems quickly and independently.
Proficient with Film Theory; educational theory a plus; broadcast experience a plus; Tricaster® experience a plus.
Possess: organizational skills, ability to achieve set goals; initiative in performing assigned tasks; ability to follow up complex projects with influence, and integrity; and ability to interact professionally with all levels of personnel within and outside of the organization.
Highly Desired Qualifications
Familiarity with Department of Defense branding and communication policies (ex. Tongue and Quill).
Experience working in the military setting, understanding of rank structure, policies, and procedures.
Shall have expertise in Office 365 tools (ex. MS Windows, MS Access, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Publisher, MS Teams, MS Planner, MS Power BI, Microsoft Forms).
Duties/Responsibilities
Assist in the inventory and maintenance of audiovisual/computer‑related equipment as directed by the Government representative.
Shall edit all multimedia projects that were previously developed, as directed by the Government representative.
Assist with the ordering, storing, coding/entering inventory into the database, and disposing of all audiovisual/computer‑related equipment as directed by the Government representative.
Provide digital design consultation to members and programs as directed by the government representative.
Shall assist subject‑matter experts and/or an instructional designer to convey a specific message to a targeted audience through a visual medium by building quality graphics for marketing. The contractor will provide consultative support to subject‑matter experts and/or instructional designers desiring to develop their own graphics/content.
Shall edit, create, design, and produce audio, video, photography, and other multimedia content for advertising needs as directed by the Government representative.
Shall exhibit and apply expertise in professional marketing and mass communications activities, supporting communications and marketing activities.
Shall demonstrate and exhibit an ability to lead and participate in a team of mass communications professionals working in tandem to achieve strategic communications goals.
Ensure that all products developed meet the requirements set forth in the AFRL/PA brand book and other applicable requirements for the development of branding, creating logos, coins, and marketing materials.
Shall plan and perform video post‑production tasks which include reviewing footage, making editorial decisions, tape logging, rough cuts, audio adjustment, color correction, and final editing using; utilize computer graphics and special effects for video post‑production in accordance with the overall production concepts; compress video projects for output; make video products available in a variety of formats; coordinate internal and external duplication services as required.
Participate in and support other projects within skill sets; projects may include writing continuity documents, attending or presenting at local eLearning symposiums, defining capabilities for potential customers, collaborating with local colleges or multi‑service partners, and supporting other special projects.
Support, evaluate, consult, and manage all educational technology as directed by the Government representative.
