Responsibilities

Vice President of Communications will lead and oversee the firm’s internal communications strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and stakeholder expectations and serving as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on internal communications, including executive messaging, thought leadership, and sensitive or high‑stakes situations.
Internal Communications

Work closely with executive leadership, human resources, corporate services, and other departments to create and edit content.
Ensure employees are kept up to date on the firm’s results, goals, progress, and new and ongoing initiatives by drafting scripts, digital communications, and presentations.
Organize and create content for internal events, town halls, and seminars in partnership with other groups to engage or educate employees.
Stay informed about corporate initiatives or events and proactively develop and share internal communications on Oaktree’s internal or social media channels when appropriate.
Develop content, including talking points, for internal use regarding corporate milestones and announcements.
Manage the content review and approval process from first drafts to distribution with colleagues across the firm.
Review and edit content to ensure language is grammatically correct, aligns with the firm’s style guide, and messaging is clear, concise, and audience‑appropriate.
Investor & Senior Stakeholder Reporting Management

Own and manage a high‑volume investor reporting function, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timeliness across recurring deliverables.
Act as the senior escalation point for complex, time‑sensitive, or high‑visibility reporting issues, ensuring resolution and stakeholder confidence.
Drive process improvement and operational efficiency across reporting workflows, identifying opportunities to streamline production, reduce errors, and enhance scalability.
Partner cross‑functionally with technology, risk & reporting, comp operations, and tax to improve inputs, coordination, and delivery of reporting materials.
Project Management

Design, manage, and successfully implement initiatives and supervise business operations with key internal stakeholders.
Understand scope of work, timing, and desired outcome to develop comprehensive project plans.
Create internal and external communications plans.
Identify potential risks and develop risk mitigation plans.
Define deliverables, review process, deadlines, and owners.
Anticipate project needs, navigate obstacles, and negotiate changes in priorities, timing, and scope.
Oversee colleagues involved in each stage of a project, adapting management style to suit the situation, stakeholder, and desired outcome.
Qualifications

10+ years of relevant experience in client, public, or investor relations.
Experience in asset management and marketing (preferred).
Communications experience writing for both external and internal audiences.
Extensive project management experience.
Facility with Microsoft Office and basic familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite.

Education

Bachelor’s degree (MBA and/or major in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field preferred).
Base Salary Range

$180,000 – $200,000 per annum. In addition to a competitive base salary, eligible for discretionary bonus incentives, a comprehensive benefits package, and flexible work arrangement.
